Comic Con International 2015 : Weekend Review

Comic Con International is one of the biggest events of the year.  And every year this is one of those events that come with the good, the bad and the crazy.  From panels, shopping, autographs and meeting up with friends there’s never a dull moment at this event.  This here is the highlight review of the Comic Con 2015 weekend.  Following the panels that I went to, the booths that made the most memory for me and the friends that I met up with.  Following we will share some Comic Con Panels, some more detailed reports and even a major discrimination report about Comic Con.  Let’s start with the fun.

Comic Con International 2015 TMNT Panels

Comic Con International is still going.  And for those who are at Comic Con and are big TMNT fans, today is the best day to be here.  As this has some of the best Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Panels.  Now that I’ve talked about everything else, today is all about sharing some of the cool stuff going on for TMNT fans here at Comic Con 2015.

Friday July 10th we have two amazing panels.  Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with the staff from the Nickelodeon series.  And best of all it’s hosted by Andre from Black Nerd Comedy!  With cast and crew members this panel always proves to be fun.  With sneak peeks for the season to come and a lot of fun jokes.  By going to both New York Comic Con and San Diego Comic Con TMNT panels ran by Nickelodeon, this is the better one to be at.  As the full panel is packed with information fans can enjoy.  I can not wait for this panel!

Review: Motor City Comic Con 2015

In 1997 I learned of Motor City Comic Con.  Since that year, I have been going every year to this local event.  Most years there are no real Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles connection, so it’s not the guest that I go for, I go for my friends.  For the past 10 years, I get in by helping friends at a booth, so I can enjoy this convention.  As long as I am in Michigan, during Motor City Comic Con, I will attend.  Here is my review for Motor City Comic Con 2015.

Review: Midwest Media Expo 2015

If there is one thing I truly enjoy. It is a great convention, the gathering of fans of tv, comics, movies, books and games alike can join together for epic memories. That is why I try to go to any con that invites me. Last month was Midwest Media Expo, and it was totally awesome. Here is my review of a fun weekend of guests, food and fun!

Kodak Moment #31

I got hundreds to thousands of photos through my life.  A lot of which would match up to stories here on Cowabunga Corner, but for one reason or another they are not chosen.  This does not mean that these photos are not worth sharing and do not hold stories of their own.  I would like to keep sharing what I can here on the site, so whenever I can I will share a photo and a story to go along with the photo.  If it’s a part of events that has been shared here, we will link back to the stories of the events themselves as well.  Hope everyone enjoys.  Today’s photo is from San Diego Comic Con 2013.

2015 Events - Toonseum TMNT Exhibit

It’s been awhile since I have written here, and I’m sorry about that.  My family has desperately needed me, and I’ve often said “family first” on all things.  So Cowabunga Corner has been one of the areas I had to step back from for a little bit to help my family get things in order.   While we’re still working on things, I’d like to do an update on things to come from Cowabunga Corner.  Hopefully soon!

TMNT Live 1990 Auckland Aotea Centre New Zealand

So much Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles stuff come out around the World.  These days it’s easier to hear about and see what is out there for Ninja Turtles.  Though back when the first big bang of TMNT fandom happened, it was not hard to miss out because of not seeing a News Paper artical or the event not even being in your country.  A lot of people seem to think I’ve seen and know of all things TMNT, when in truth I don’t think anyone has or could.  Which is why I love to share things new and old of Ninja Turtles here on Cowabunga Corner.  Today I’m sharing something old, but new to me.

Review: Lexington Comic Con 2015

One of the things that I enjoy most through the year is going to different conventions, meeting new guests and fellow fans.  I usually plan my conventions by the guest list, to make sure the event has something of interest, next I look at the location to see if friends can meet up and last I look at the events to see what is offered to do, so the cost just is not meant for a big dealer room.  Once all those line up to match my personal interest I decide if I’m going or not.  Lexington Comic Con this year fell into the batch of conventions that I wanted to go too.  With both their guest list and location working out well for me, I knew this would be a fun weekend.  Only one problem… another e

Lexington Comic Con: Saturday

Lexington Comic Con is an up and coming convention that has been growing yearly for the last few years. It originally started out as an idea as a Power Rangers convention for the creator’s son, though it developed into something more. While it brings in a lot of Power Ranger guests, including those from the original Japanese version, Lexington Comic Con also brings in a multitude of other talent from movie stars to voice actors to comic artists. Lexington Comic Con works to entice the crowd in every way possible.

Returning to Midwest Media Expo 2015

The past few years Cowabunga Corner has been invited to different events.  Getting to share collection pieces, talk with fellow Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fans, and host panels.  One of those events really stood out, with how great the guests were treated, the variety of types of guests and events, and the mixture of panels that I got to take part in last year.  This was Midwest Media Expo, an event in Detroit Michigan meant for many different types of fandoms to come together as a community, for a fun weekend.  When they asked for me to return for 2015, I was happy to say yes.  Here’s a bit about  Midwest Media Expo.
