Review: Toy Fair Day 2

Toy Fair 2014 was a big event that offered a lot of cool stuff.  The second day kept us just as busy going around as the first day.  It started off very early as Mattel was doing a Press panel that went over their new lines of toys for 2014.  We also had a handful of other interesting things going on, that got Miki and I to pack up and walk over there early.  Check in was easy and we got a press kit, before heading into the panel.

Review: Jared's Epic Movie Theater Party

As a kid I started going to many events from Conventions to concerts.  Enjoying all types of entertainment. There was some things I never got to do, and really thought I would never do. This last  weekend I fulfilled a few of these lost dreams at Jared's Epic Party. Meeting people I never met before and making a lot of new friends. Now I want to share this with everyone.

Review: Toy Fair 2014 Day 1

Once a year in the United States people gather from around the world to talk about toys. Action figures, yo yo, coloring books, and so much more. This event is full of business people who either make or sell toys. They call this awesome week "Toy Fair". There are few outside of the business who can attend this joyless week, including media outlets. This is the second year that Cowabunga Corner has been able to take part. Here is my over all review of Toy Fair 2014.

Review: NYC Comic Con 2013 TMNT Panel

New York City Comic Con is doing a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle panel each year for the new Nickelodeon series.  Very fun panels worth going to.  As I mentioned in the New York City Comic Con review I want to share this panel with everyone.  Which brings us to my review of the TMNT panel with a wonderful set of guests on stage.

Kodak Moments #1

I got hundreds to thousands of photos through my life.  A lot of which would match up to stories here on Cowabunga Corner, but for one reason or another they are not chosen.  This does not mean that these photos are not worth sharing and do not hold stories of their own.  I would like to keep sharing what I can here on the site, so whenever I can I will share a photo and a story to go along with the photo.  If it’s a part of events that have been shared here, we will link back to the stories of the events themselves as well.  Hope everyone enjoys.  Today’s photo is a shot of me into the Turtle van from this last summer.

Review: New York Comic Con 2013

In October 2013 we had New York City Comic Con.  One of my favorite conventions of the year.  Normally I get my reviews up shortly after they happen, though once I got home from the convention this year a few of my close family members was having some bad health issues so I was not able to do a review.  Really one of the family members that was with me for New York City Comic Con was having her health issues while there, Miki with her broken neck.  At the time of NYC Comic Con we did not know it was broken, though we knew she was injured.  Here is my memories from one of the best East Coast conventions of 2013.

Epic TMNT Party is happening!

Fandom is a wonderful thing when we come together.  And I can’t be more excited to say congrats to Jared.  Jared is a TMNT fan who is following his dream of throwing a huge party.  To throw the size of the party he wanted to throw he needed help from the fandom.  And the fandom answered to his call for help with donating over $38,000 towards the party and the tickets are still on sale!  What type of party would get so much funding?  One that has something for everyone who decides to go.

Epic TMNT Party 2014

Picture yourself in a crowd of TMNT fans, seeing live music and the Turtles are there dancing to the toons!  Up on stage songs such as “Ninja Rap” and “T U R T L E Power” are being performed by their original artist.  Pizza is delivered.  And guests from TMNT medias are there for this party.  This is an event that could only be done by the fans for the fans.

Review: Detroit Fanfare 2013

2013 Detroit Fanfare has rolled around.  This year shows the growth of the event as they used the same location as they did last year, but took up a bit more space.  Adding another dealer room to the mix.  Miki and I checked out two days of Detroit Fanfare getting to talk with the vendors, guests and enjoy some of the panels they had to offer.  Here’s my review of Detroit Fanfare 2013.

Miki and I got to Detroit Fanfare on Friday, we were there kind of late just to pick up our badges.  We had just enough time to peek into the dealer room and find a few friends to say hello.  On our way out we bumped into our friends doing the DLUX Entertainment Expo this upcoming March.  They had new flyers and TMNT guests listed.  We spent our evening hanging out in the lobby, catching up with them and other friends.

Review: Power-Con 2013

On Friday, September 13 2013, me and my dad flew out to Torrance, California for the annual event "Power-Con". This was my first time ever visiting California. I was very excited to meet up with my friends Michele and Miki Ivey, who had traveled to the hotel that afternoon to set up for the con. Me and my dad had arrived at LAX Friday morning and made our way to the hotel to settle in. Friday afternoon we met up with Michele and Miki at the hotel, which is when I met Fugitoid. The five of us soon after made our way to Robbie Rist's Rock N Roll pizza show. We all had a great time, and it was a night I'll never forget spending time with friends.

The next day, I made my way to the convention. It was a lot of fun walking around and talking to people. The first panel we attended was the voices of the TMNT panel. Cam Clark, Townsend Coleman, Greg Cipes, and Christian Lanz all put on a good panel that everyone enjoyed.
