Review: NickTurtles Action Pack Dog Tag

Today we're going to be looking at one of the Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles "Action Packs" that can be found in the trading card section of stores such as Target. These action packs consist of a foil package that contains 1 of 8 stickers and 1 of 24 metal turtle shell dog tags. Each pack also contains a checklist, showing which stickers and dog tags are available.

A Great Time to be a Turtle Fan

Awesome 2013 Holiday ads include TMNTBack in the early 1990’s everywhere you went was Ninja Turtles.  They were the #1 Toys, they were the hottest show on TV, their films were breaking their own records, and they even got their live tour.  Christmas times the stores would be filled with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  Once the mid 90’s rolled around the wonderful sight of Turtles became hard to find.  As the entertainment kept coming through reruns on USA express, The Next Mutation, Mirage and Image Comics there was sight of bringing the Turtles back to the spotlight.  Even when 4Kids launched, never could it bring back that early year Turtle fan feeling.  Until now.

Random Collection #28

Throughout the years of being a Ninja Turtle fan, my collection has been growing.  Every year I get something new that joins the collection.  Growing since 1989, I have over 500 Ninja Turtle toys out of package and over 300 in package, as well as books, animation cels, original comic art, scripts and so much more.  To cover all of this on Cowabunga Corner is not something I really think I can do.  Though I get a lot of questions about my collection, so I figured I could do random stories from time to time to share one item in my collection.  This one is about my very first DVD.

Kathy's Diner

Northampton the home of Mirage Studios.  One of my favorite vacation spots as I have been traveling there for 20 years now, visiting friends and having good food.  With cool stores and neat places to visit I highly encourage many to go there.  With a smile on my face and fond memories of great times.  One of our favourite places to go has always been Kathy’s Diner, the best Pancakes in town.  When cutting through Northampton this last time, we came to a surprise finding Kathy’s Diner close.  Of course the memories will always be with me and now I’ll like to share those with everyone.

Review: NickTurtles Electronic Watch

Today we're going to take a look at an electronic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles watch. This is a watch that I found at Old Navy, It is able to fit both kids and adults. The body of the watch is made of silicon rubber with 2D artwork of the four turtles on the band. The casing features a printed logo for the Nickelodeon series.

What makes this watch unique and interesting is the hidden digital display. Pushing on the center of the face causes the hidden digital display to cycle and display the time for a couple of seconds, at which point it cycles again before disappearing.

Review: TMNT Fruit Snacks 2013

There has been a lot of new stuff on the market during 2013.  One of those items is not really so new to the fandom, only thing new is the packaging.  It’s the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fruit snacks.  A good friend of mine in May gave me a box for my birthday and I got really excited.  Now I want to share that with everyone here in this review as I open my first box of Fruit Snacks.

Turtle Bug

As a child I got into a game called “slug bug”, it was the only real car game I became a huge fan of.  If we saw a VW Beetle we would hit the person next to us and say ‘slug bug “color”, no slug back’.  I grew up loving VWs, we had VW vans and both my mom and dad had owned bugs when they were younger.  This made it so a VW beetle was my dream car, it was one of the few cars I could tell apart from all the other cars on the road.  I was disappointed when the first car I had was not a bug, then I got my dad’s van.  When I moved onto the next car I finally got my dream car, a VW Beetle 2000.  This is the Turtle Bug and here’s it’s story.

Greg Martin

There are some areas in history that gets overlooked too often.  The people who put together everything we enjoy that don’t get credit.  That are often not mentioned.  People with skills brought in to do the work and few learn their names.  To those I tip my hat.  This is why Cowabunga Corner has the goal to make sure we can talk with anyone and everyone who’s worked on Ninja Turtles from the artist, voices, producers, stunts, actors and more.  Our goal is credit to all the amazing people that made TMNT through these years be as awesome as it is.  Even if we miss out on meeting someone, we still want to take time out for them.  This is in memory of an artist whose name was not cre
