Kodak Moment #37

I got hundreds to thousands of photos through my life.  A lot of which would match up to stories here on Cowabunga Corner, but for one reason or another they are not chosen.  This does not mean that these photos are not worth sharing and do not hold stories of their own.  I would like to keep sharing what I can here on the site, so whenever I can I will share a photo and a story to go along with the photo.  If it’s a part of events that has been shared here, we will link back to the stories of the events themselves as well.  Hope everyone enjoys.  Today’s photo is my mom and grandparents in 1989.

Help get TMNT into the National Toy Hall of Fame!

In 1983 Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird created the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, they released these characters to the public in 1984 as a Comic Book.  The Turtles were a huge success through comic book fans, though for those not into the comic scene it was not heard of.  Things could’ve remained this way if Mark Freedman did not get into the picture and go to Playmates Toys for the action figure line.  Playmates Toys loved this story so much that they funded the first five episodes of the original cartoon series.  Making the Toys one of the major backbones behind the Turtles which helped many of us fans learn their story.  I for one am Thankful as they helped and changed t

Review "Secrets of the Sewers" at the Children's Museum of Indianapolis

Going into the Secrets of the SewersThis past Saturday Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles took over at the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. That was the day that the “Secrets of the Sewers” Exhibit opened up to the public.  This is a large Exhibit full of games, props, and group activities.  Made to help families and friends learn to work together as a team while enjoying our fab four Turtles!  Here is my review of the “Secrets of the Sewers” Exhibit.

Nickelodeon's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles : Secrets of the Sewers

Preliminary concept digital models, Sewer Lair—Common Room.If there’s one place I truly enjoy seeing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, it’s in Museums.  The first time I saw this was the Words & Pictures Museum, which remains my favorite Museum I’ve ever been too.  They even had an Exhibit for the Next Mutation, and Turtles were always on display there.  Since then I do look and have found TMNT in a few other museum settings, but nothing like what is happening this year as The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis has set up the “Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles : Secrets of the Sewer” Exhibit!

Snap Review: Minions doll, blind bag and iphone case

There’s so many different products released every year that we have a hard time keeping up with everything.  From toys, food, and novelty products.  Wanting to cover everything we enjoy, including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles can take time.  Which has got me deciding to do some shorter reviews, just doing fast coverage of the product itself.  These are our Cowabunga Corner Snap Reviews.  Each review covering a different product, depending on what ever it is we have to share.  This episode covers some Minion products
