Megan Fox in new TMNT Movie

MeganFox

News broke out that went around yesterday for the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle movie produced by Michael Bay.  On his blog he wrote the simple line of “TMNT: We Are Bringing Megan Fox Back Into The Family”  So this bit of news jumped all around, with people jumping to the conclusion that she is going to be “April O’Neil”.  The fact that she is going to be April or not is just rumor for now.  Of course that would be the leading female role in the film, so please note that until further notice of being confirmed as April, this is just a rumor.  Here is my thoughts on this subject.

Review: "The Hobbit"

TheHobbitMiddle Earth once again is brought to life on the big screen in Peter Jackson’s newest film “The Hobbit”.  Based on the book, Peter went in and brought the characters to life and on a roller coaster of adventures.  I was thrilled when we got tickets to this movie.  With knowing how great the Lord of the Ring saga was, I knew this was a not to miss movie.  I have not read the books, though I have seen the old animated movie of the Hobbit, a long time ago, which I barely remember.  So my review of this film is from the mind of someone new to the story and not comparing to the book.

Movie Review: Ted

Over the years cartoons got known to be something for children or family entertainment.  Though some shows have rocked that boat to remind people that animation is for people of all ages including adults.  Shows like “The Simpsons”, “Family Guy” and “South Park” have got people a bit more wary of thinking that every cartoon is for kids.  Though when you see a soft fluffy teddy bear being animated on the big screen, it’s hard to think it’s not for children.  Which leads us to a new movie coming to theaters this week, “Ted”.

Movie Review: Safety Not Guaranteed

Tom Lokhorst is a veritable cornucopia of useless trivia information, a pop culture junkie, a time-traveler, and self-proclaimed movie nerd. When he’s not watching “Dr. Who”, he also writes movie reviews for T-Shirts.com.

"Wanted: Somebody to go back in time with me. This is not a joke. You'll get paid after we get back. Must bring your own weapons. I have only done this once before. Safety not guaranteed."

Movie Review: Brave

Families are very important, though sometimes traditions can drive a family apart.  A lot of different movies have shown this, people pushing traditions on kids and instead of grasping onto this family lifestyle the kids see something else that they want in life.  Friction happens between family members and we get different types of movies where one family member is trying to get someone else in their family to see things their way.  Sometimes this lesson is learned by putting family members into each other shoes, though other movies take a totally different step.  The movie Brave by Disney and Pixar is one of those movies with a “Brother Bear” type twist.

TMNT Movie on Hold

In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle history there has often been the promise of a new movie, with it falling through in the end.  This past year a lot of talk has been going on about the new film, which was originally promised for 2011, as 2011 rolled around we were told it was going to be released in 2012 and then it got pushed to 2013.  When people came to me asking for my thoughts about the film my main response stood at “I’m more excited about the new cartoon series by Nickelodeon in fall 2012.”  I also told people “I don’t get my hopes up about movies, until I see the movie in filming stages.”.   So was I surprised when I heard that the new Ninja Turtle Film is on hold?
