Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series has been an amazing ride and still going with new episodes all the time.  While I’ve been working at giving the fullest of reviews, I noticed that I have fallen behind with real life stuff eating away at my time.  Making my long reviews much harder to write, as I do not have the time to go into the full details that I enjoy giving.  To help us catch up on some much needed reviews, I am going to change up my review format.  If people have questions about parts of the show that I do not get to cover, just ask in the comment section.  This reviews is about episode 29 “Follow the Leader”.

Nickelodeon made sure that we all knew that season two of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was going to be filled with Mutants.  The end of the first episode hinted at what the first mutant we were going to see was going to be in this long hunt for all the mutagen canisters.  The big question was ahead of us is how dangerous is these mutants going to be, and will any of them become friends to the Turtles?  We got our first real taste of just what the Turtles could face in episode 2 of the season with "Invasion of the Squirrelanoids".  Here is my review of this hyperactive mutant mess of pure gross tales.

What a season, so much Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles merch released this year that there was no way to have a review from every item that came out.  I hope that everyone enjoyed all of the reviews that we did share, with great toys.  With the Holiday Season done we are going to try and focus the site back on the Nickelodeon Cartoon and the IDW Comics, as well as keeping the toy reviews coming.  In February 2014 Toy Fair is coming up, which means that toys are still a high focus point for us here at Cowabunga Corner.  

One could hope for some good news for starting off the New Year.  Though times remain to be rough all around.  Today, I write this with a heavy heart. I want to wish the family James Avery my deepest condolences.  While I have never met James, his talents and career has touched my life more than once.  He will be deeply missed.

James passed away on December 31st, 2013.  He recently had a surgery and things turned for the worse according to a TMZ report.  James was 65 years old, born on November 27th 1948. 

In the last episode of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles the Kraang are going to make their move.  Shredder is taking action.  The Turtles are off to be heroes as Splinter has his own mission.  So much going on just from this awesome two parter that ended the first season of Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles titled “Showdown” parts 1 & 2.  The story arc that finally brings so many topics from the season into the light.  Thankfully they were not crammed into one episode. 

Nickelodeon has been bringing us on a full new ride for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  Season 1 being the first storyline to introduce us to their world for these characters who’ve been around so long.  Giving us lots of changes, trying to add in some deep character grips and even making it fun for people of all ages.  Each of our favorite characters having a new side to them, that people either like or do not like.  And some questions were left unanswered throughout the season.  Now we’ve seen the last two episodes of Nickelodeon's TMNT Season 1 which was titled “Showdown” parts 1 & 2.  The story arc that brings us finally brings so many topics from the season into the light.  Thankfully they were not crammed

When Lionsgate started releasing the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series, they released the series in Volumes.  While Seasons 1 and 2 got to be released in full, Season 3 was split into different DVDs since it was so large.  Though when the DVDs kept selling they started to release Season sets.  With lots of people collecting the DVDs as they come out, some were confused on the season order of how this all came into play.  After releasing their Series Box set last year, Lionsgate has decided to go back and fix the mix up on Season 3 for all those that bought the dvds over time by now releasing season 3 as it’s on DVD set.  A 4 Disk set that has 47 episodes from the classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series.  Here is my review of this

In the first episode of Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles they set up the story line that April’s father, Kirby O’Neil is kidnapped by the Krang and the Turtles have to save him.  Only showing him in a few episodes we have gone almost all the way through the first season without Kirby O’Neil being rescued.  With the season finally around the corner we are now getting to touch base with that storyline as Donatello finds himself on a mission to save Kirby.  Here is my review of Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles episode 24 “Operation: Break Out”.

Nickelodeon has been doing a bit of torture to us Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle fans.  While most TMNT series in the past would wrap up their season in May leaving the summer for reruns, Nickelodeon has decided to keep the show going.  After a month of waiting we finally get a new episode.  Though is it really new?  The show aired in another country and has been bouncing around on the internet for weeks.  Personally I'm not a fan of this long wait between episodes for TMNT and can't wait for the first season to be done.  This last weekend “Parasitica” aired, which is the 23rd episode of Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  Here is my review of this episode.
