I got hundreds to thousands of photos through my life.  A lot of which would match up to stories here on Cowabunga Corner, but for one reason or another they are not chosen.  This does not mean that these photos are not worth sharing and do not hold stories of their own.  I would like to keep sharing what I can here on the site, so whenever I can I will share a photo and a story to go along with the photo.  If it’s a part of events that has been shared here, we will link back to the stories of the events themselves as well.  Hope everyone enjoys.  Today’s photo is from the 1950’s.

Youmacon is already over for this year?  It just started.  Sad but true though, the four days of Youmacon goes by too fast every year and leaves everyone always wanting more.  This year was no difference with all the great guests, panels, staffs and friends that attended.  I am proud to say that I got a break from the insane life that I’ve been living to breath and see friends.

HIKARI FRIDAY ROUND 5

Ever want to go to a live taping of a talk show?  Well for me, I’ve thought about it a few times, though it’s not one of those things I’ve ever gone out of my way to do.  I would if it included Ninja Turtles, but I never had that chance as they were always out of state back in the day when the Turtles did appear on shows such as Oprah.

Since October 2009, when the news was released that Viacom bought the Turtles.  Fans have been watching more and more of the stuff we know of Mirage disappear.  With the official Turtle website now down for maintenance, the Mirage comics closing down, the few workers still with Mirage only being there a few days a week to handle the orders that come in for their back stock, and now a good bye on their Facebook page.

There's nothing I love more than a good scary movie, with genuine scares rather than "jump scares." That type of movie seems to be a rare find these days, which is why I prefer the classics like The Exorcist, Rosemary’s Baby and other films of that era. Movies in this day and time would rather have you jumping out of your seats at that very moment than be truly scared and bring home the terrified feeling.

One of my main goals these last two year was to read all of the Harry Potter books prior to seeing the beginning of the end for the movies. Sadly, I did not accomplish that goal. I only made it to the fourth book before my life became its normal chaos. I had a basic idea of what was going to happen in The Half Blood Prince, as my husband listened to the audio book at his computer without headphones. With The Deathly Hallows audio book, he used headphones. So, going into this first part of the movie, I was completely clueless as I have been with all of the previous movies aside from The Half Blood Prince.
