CCN: Tom Waltz Interview Part 2

Last summer after the success of our Kickstarter project, were able to set up a handful of amazing interviews in California.  This goes with all of the Nickelodeon interviews we had back in September, our interview at Playmates Toys and our recent interview with Steve Varner.  This is one is one of my favorite interviews that we did while in California, which was so long that we’ve decided to break it up into parts.  In November we posted Part 1.  Now we bring you part 2 of 3 : Tom Waltz’s interview, from IDW Publishing.

For those who don’t know, Tom Waltz is the co-writer on the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Comic books.  He’s the man behind the new story, working closely with Kevin Eastman on keeping things in tune with stuff that TMNT fans can enjoy.  With 20 issues in the store now, those of us reading it remain on the edge of our seats watching to see where Tom and the awesome crew at IDW will bring the comics.

In part 2 of this interview we discuss how the process of putting the IDW TMNT comics together works.  Tom shares how much work he goes through these these comics and just how much Nickelodeon has taken part in story as well.  He's happy to share the inside working of IDW for those who have interest in hearing what he has to say.   Truly an awesome interview worth watching for all TMNT fans.

Coming up in the near future we’ll bring you the last part of this interview, as you’ll get to hear how Tom got the job of writing for the IDW TMNT comics and how he first heard of the Ninja Turtles!  Stay tuned!
