Dark Shadows DVD Set

For the last 8months I’ve been getting to watch a lot of an old 1960s soap opera called “Dark Shadows”, about a vampire and his family.  The series started in 1966 and lasted into the 70s.  There was even a remake of the series in the 1990s.  And now, Tim Burton is doing a movie based on this series.  I’m really excited about the movie, and trying to watch as much as I can of the original series.

Now as I want to see every episode, this task is not an easy one.  So you can imagine my shock when I found out about a new DVD box set coming out for Dark Shadows.  A box set with all of the 1200 + episodes on DVD!

With 131 DVDs in the set, the total price we’re seeing is $539.99.  My jaw dropped at that price, as badly as I want this DVD set I will not be able to buy it.  As things like car repairs, trips, and other living costs will come between me and this amazing DVD set.  Though I still wanted to share the news, in case any of our readers are fellow Dark Shadow fans.

This set will be released April 10th.  Already on Amazon for pre orders.  An amazing set with an awesome box.  Here’s hoping that it’s price drops at some point so I can pick up a set for myself.
