Kodak Moment #109

I got hundreds to thousands of photos through my life.  A lot of which would match up to stories here on Cowabunga Corner, but for one reason or another they are not chosen.  This does not mean that these photos are not worth sharing and do not hold stories of their own.  I would like to keep sharing what I can here on the site, so whenever I can I will share a photo and a story to go along with the photo.  If it’s a part of events that has been shared here, we will link back to the stories of the events themselves as well.  Hope everyone enjoys.  Today’s photo is from my cross country trip in 2009.

When the Ninja Turtle tour went across country, that was my first time driving through the country.  I volunteered at each stop and have shared videos and photos through Cowabunga Corner and Facebook.  Though the tour was not the only thing I did on that trip.  Miki and I would connect with friends.  This photo is from one of those connections, we stopped in Phoenix, Arizona where we got to meet up with some friends whom I’ve known through my days at the Words & Pictures Museum.  One of these friends lived on a ranch, with some horses.

The horse I’m riding is named Garth.  He was a good boy, and I enjoyed getting to meet him while visiting.  My friends are standing in the background there, as Miki took this photo.  I loved how the picture came out.  I don’t have much history with going horseback riding.  So this meant a lot to me, and I still think fondly of that day.

Do you get to ride horses?  Have you done it often or a few times?  Please share your stories, comments and questions below.
