Kodak Moment #41

I got hundreds to thousands of photos through my life.  A lot of which would match up to stories here on Cowabunga Corner, but for one reason or another they are not chosen.  This does not mean that these photos are not worth sharing and do not hold stories of their own.  I would like to keep sharing what I can here on the site, so whenever I can I will share a photo and a story to go along with the photo.  If it’s a part of events that has been shared here, we will link back to the stories of the events themselves as well.  Hope everyone enjoys.  Today’s photo is at the Words & Pictures Museum.

This is during the time the Words & Pictures Museum was closing in 1999.  We’re on the second floor, in the photo is my mom, our friend Jim and me.  Behind my mom is their white board which people could draw on, it use to be an electric chalkboard.  Around the corner is where the life size Splinter statue was, behind glass.  Krang is in this picture, just harder to find as you don’t see all of him.  We met Jim through our visits to the Words and Pictures Museum, as we made many friends there.  Always enjoyed going there, the second floor was my favorite floor to hang out at.

In this picture I am wearing my jean jacket, which always reminded me of the Coming Out of Their Shells tour.  I’ve had this jacket for years, as it can be seen in my hands when I was sleeping as a Turtle.  I don’t wear it as often, but I do know that we still have this jacket.

I only wish that the Words and Pictures Museum was still around so people could go to it.  It was located in Northampton, MA and to this day it is my favorite Museum I’ve ever been too.  Great events.  Great people. Real artwork worth looking at from fantastic comic books, showing all the talent needed to make these amazing booklets of pure entertainment.
