Kodak Moment #50

I got hundreds to thousands of photos through my life.  A lot of which would match up to stories here on Cowabunga Corner, but for one reason or another they are not chosen.  This does not mean that these photos are not worth sharing and do not hold stories of their own.  I would like to keep sharing what I can here on the site, so whenever I can I will share a photo and a story to go along with the photo.  If it’s a part of events that has been shared here, we will link back to the stories of the events themselves as well.  Hope everyone enjoys.  Today’s photo is from the Turtle Con booth held at Motor City Comic Con 2001.

With the success of Turtle Con 2000, we held the booth again in 2001 and 2003.  This photo is from 2003.  This is me in my Turtle costume, which has gotten some wear and tear by this time as it’s 10 years old in this photo.  In the background is one of our awesome friends who helped run the booth.  Hanging up we can see hand drawn signs and original comic art, two of which from Mirage Comics.  One being a page from issue 11, given to me by Kevin Eastman in 1998.

This was our last time holding a booth at Motor City Comic Con.  These days when I do booths at conventions I can not wear my costume because of my RSD, though with the help of family and friends I do have original art, movie props and scripts on display.  We only hold booths now if a convention brings us in as guests.

Do you have a TMNT costume?  Ever wear it to a convention?  Ever have a booth at a convention, that you’ve worn a TMNT costume to hang out at?  Please share your memories here!  All memories, comments and questions welcomed below!
