Random Collection #35

Throughout the years of being a Ninja Turtle fan, my collection has been growing.  Every year I get something new that joins the collection.  Growing since 1989, I have over 500 Ninja Turtle toys out of package and over 300 in package, as well as books, animation cels, original comic art, scripts and so much more.  To cover all of this on Cowabunga Corner is not something I really think I can do.  Though I get a lot of questions about my collection, so I figured I could do random stories from time to time to share one item in my collection.  This one is about “Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles Kampen Mot Soltjuvarna” record book.

I wish I could say I knew a lot about this awesome children book.  It was a gift to me from a friend from TMNT-L, Slash.  She comes in from Sweden to go to events with me.  The book originally had a record that came with it.  I can’t read much of it at all.  Just names really.  I did find that the original title of this story is “Follow my Leader” and it’s from 1991.

For those interested here’s the voice credits for the record.

Berattaren: Roger Storm
Rafael: Roger Storm
Donatello: Anders Öjebo
Michelangelo: Bertil Engh
Leonardo: Roger Storm
Shredder: Jan Koldenius
Splinter: Bertil Engh
Robot: Anders Öjebo
Krang: Bertil Engh

It’s always fun to see things from around the world of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, I would personally love to hear the original record for this book.  It’s got original art work all through the book.  With the Turtles, Shredder, and Krang.  Surprise that I did not see April in the credits or photos, so this was one of those rare times back then where April was not a part of the story.

This is one of those collection pieces that rotates from being displayed, to being put away.  I can’t read it, though I find a lot of people find interest in flipping through books like this.  Personally I find it really cool to glance at, and hope to find a translated version some day.
