Random Collection Piece #17

Throughout the years of being a Ninja Turtle fan, my collection has been growing.  Every year I get something new that joins the collection.  Growing since 1989, I have over 500 Ninja Turtle toys out of package and over 300 in package, as well as books, animation cels, original comic art, scripts and so much more.  To cover all of this on Cowabunga Corner is not something I really think I can do.  Though I get a lot of questions about my collection, so I figured I could do random stories weekly to share one item in my collection.  This week I’m covering a TMNT Character LED Light keychain.

This Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Character LED Light was sold at Home Depot in Canada.  I do not know of it being sold anywhere else.  Made by Gadgets & Gizmos and distributed by Kimo Enterprises Inc in 2006.  I remember learning about these online as some of my friends in Canada told me of this awesome find.  Though searching the United States we did not get any of the items they were carrying in Canada as this is only one of a line of cool things they released.  A member of TMNT-L and good friend of mine, Mily, helped me get my hands on a ton of the stuff from Home Depot.  I even visited and did some shopping myself.  A big Thanks to Mily for helping me get these.

This one is green and has an image of all four of the 4Kids Turtles on it.  There are a total of three of these, a red one with Michelangelo and Raphael and a Blue one with Leonardo and Donatello.  I know I got some of the others, don’t recall if I have all three.  The light itself is the shape of an arrowhead with the key chain part on the tip and the light on other side.  Just squeeze it and it lights up.

Since these were not released in the US I kept mine in package so it still works.  And isn’t really in use.  If I get a Museum going, this will be one of the odds and ins that will be hanging up somewhere in it.   It’s a cool item to have and I really do wish that it came out in the United States as well.

Do you have a TMNT Character LED Light?  If so do you use it or is it part of your collection?  Please share reviews, comments and questions below!
