Random Collection Piece #6

Throughout the years of being a Ninja Turtle fan, my collection has been growing.  Every year I get something new that joins the collection.  Growing since 1989, I have over 500 Ninja Turtle toys out of package and over 300 in package, as well as books, animation cels, original comic art, scripts and so much more.  To cover all of this on Cowabunga Corner is not something I really think I can do.  Though I get a lot of questions about my collection, so I figured I could do random stories from time to time to share one item in my collection. Starting now, we’re going to post a random collection piece weekly.

This is a awesome set of children's cutlery from England. It’s for young children and comes in a box with one fork, knife and spoon each with the TMNT faces on the handles. Going down the handle it shows Leonardo, Raphael, Michaelangelo and Donatello.  The handle also says, right at the bottom, ©1990 Mirage Studios.  The cutlery is kept in a green plastic holder in their box, fit for each piece. The front of the box says: “Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles” Children’s Cutlery Set,   Dishwasher Safe, Stainless Steel, Non Toxic,  ©1990 Mirage Studios, and Licensed by Copyright Promotions Ltd.  The side of the box has I. Grunwerg Ltd. Sheffield and Made in Taiwan.  On the very bottom of the box is the barcode, above that is TMH Turtles BX and below is the number 5 019311085410.

I really do find this as an awesome set.   My box is worn as I got it from ebay some years ago.  Though the cutlery is all in good shape.  I keep the set together in the box, and do not use them.  They are often on display.  The Turtle image they use for the front of the box is one I’ve seen often on products from the UK, in magazines and such.
