Review: Giant Donatello TMNT 2014

Counting down now, with only one week till the release date for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014.  The excitement fills the air as fans talk of their likes and dislikes all over the internet.  Here on Cowabunga Corner, we’re keeping our countdown with TMNT Toy reviews going up to the release date of the most talked about TMNT film in years.  This review is for Playmates Toy’s Giant Donatello based on the TMNT 2014 movie.

Out of the Giant toys for this Ninja Turtle line, Donatello is one I still have a hard time wrapping my figures around.  From his bo staff to the pack on his back, he’s a very different turtle.  Though he is based on a film I have yet to see, for a true judgement if I like this new style for him or not.  I do feel once again that the toy is lacking some details, though makes up for it in size.  As the Giant toys are by far my favorite from the new movie toy line.

This Donatello as some character to his face, his okay to pose in standing up, and fits well with his brothers.  I recommend this toy for children and adult collectors of this new toy line.  I have used mine as a mascot travelling across country with photos for Instagram.  Please check out our account to see how these photos turned out.
