Review: TMNT 2014 Valentines Lenticular

Only a few more days till Valentine's Day and we still have more Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles stuff to share with everyone.  It’s funny how much they can really do different at stores for Ninja Turtles Valentines as Nickelodeon is going all out to give us different products from different companies.  One of those companies is Paper Magic Group which brought us some of my favorite new products, the Ninja Turtles Mailboxes.  I am now looking at the TMNT Lenticular Valentines, which is also made by Paper Magic Group.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Lenticular Valentines remind me a lot of the TMNT 3D Valentines Day Cards.  Same effect of changing colors.  With 9 different designs, and 27 Valentines Day cards that gives you three sets of these cards in one box.  The front of all nine cards do not say Valentines Day on them at all.  They’re not even red or pink, they’re boarders are green.

The choices of designs is interesting.  They got nine cards.  Michelangelo gets two cards, Raphael gets two cards, Leonardo gets two cards, and there is a card with all four Turtles on it.  Though instead of giving Donatello two cards you get one Donatello and an April O’Neil card.  I’m sure Donatello would not mind sharing his space for an extra card with April.  Just found this to be an interesting mix up, instead of giving Donatello two cards there is this group shot and the April.

The group shot card does have a bit of a bonus to it.  The second and third images is a shot of the Turtles fighting Shredder, adding another character to the stack of cards to be given away in this set.  Each card has three images.  Making for something fun that your friends can enjoy when they get the cards.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Lenticular set is made by Paper Magic Group, they compare some what close to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3D Valentines.  With the same sort of effect.  The 3D cards are from American Greetings.  With the big difference that they are eight designs, instead of 9.  Two for each Turtle, no group shot and no April.  They also got the red borders instead of the green, as well as Valentines writing on them.  The 3D cards are the same height, but slightly wider than the Lenticular cards.  The 3D cards also give a full action move, not different images but making the Turtle follow through with an action.  Also using three different images to make this work.  They’re fun to have next to each other to compare the differences.

I recommend the Lenticular cards for people who are not as big into Valentines Day but still would like to give something out.  Or just wants to be slightly different from everyone else.  The cards are fun, and can be displayed all year long without being compared to Valentines Day.  Only the back giving the Holiday away.  They make for fun collection pieces in a fans collection.
