Review: TMNT "Green vs. Mean"

There are many childhood memories that kids can relate to each other.  As adults we look back and say “I remember when” as so many people stories can be shared with their peers young and old.  It can be a big surprise how many companies can connect children to adults.  From Disney, LEGO, Marvel, DC, Warner Brothers, and Nickelodeon.  Shows we watched as kids being brought back in new versions for children of today.

For me one of those “I remember when” stories goes back to the books I read when I was really little.  Books known as “Golden Books” a favorite of mine was “The Poky Little Puppy”.  And of course I had “The Tale of Peter Rabbit”.  This is a company I respect and remember greatly from when I was a kid.  So I can’t express how excited I am to be holding a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles book by “Golden Books”.

This book is called “Green vs. Mean” it is written by Geof Smith, with artwork from Steve Lambe.  The book brings you through introducing the story behind the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, their training, their activities, their bad guys and friends.  It is a children’s book introducing young readers to Nickelodeon’s version of the Turtles.  This is the first book by Golden Books about the Ninja Turtles.

I recommend this for anyone with young kids.  As Golden Books are one of those amazing things that stay in memories of children.  They get read over and over.  All the artwork in this is just for the book with it’s own style of the Nickelodeon Turtles.  It’s not a big read where you’re following and adventure, it’s just a nice way for kids to learn about their favorite characters and share it with friends.

A big Thank you to Golden Books for joining the world of TMNT Products!  It’s great to be adding another book from such a well founded company to my collection of Turtles!
