Review: TMNT hearts with Candy

The Holiday goodies never come to an end for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as Valentines stuff is all over at the stores.  With cards, stickers, erasers, glow sticks, chocolates, 3D cards and even Tattoos we are trying to bring you as much of these Valentine goodies as we can.  Letting you know what is out there, and sharing my thoughts on these products.  Each one trying hard to break my bank as I search high and low for new things to share.  So many items, that we are sharing more than one story today to bring you a review of the “TMNT Classroom Valentine hearts with candy”.

This Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles product almost slipped right by me.  I would never have thought to look in the part of the store where it was located, with all the other food.  I have gotten use to going straight to the Holiday set up when you first come in and search there for Ninja Turtles goodies, though Phoenix informed me of this package of TMNT candies.  This started a hunt in which I found other TMNT items I was not intending to buy.

This bag contains 24 plastic hearts with Turtle face candies inside a little bag in each heart.  There is a plastic wrapped image with the TMNT around each heart where you write “To” and “From”.  The candies are hard and taste a bit like smarties, they’re shaped like little Ninja Turtle faces.  Made by the same people who brought us the TMNT Valentines Chocolate Hearts, Frankford Candy LLC.  You can find them the bag for about $5.

The image on the bag shares the same expressions for Michelangelo, Donatello and Leonardo which you find on the heart.  Michelangelo looks happy, like he’s excited to be a part of this.  Leonardo looks a bit wary, he’s on guard and not sure what people are going to do. And Donatello looks upset, a bit annoyed that the heart is not going to April O’Neil?  While on the bag Raphael looks happy, content on things on the heart he looks more angry and ready for a fight.  Not sure why the Raph image was the only one changed for the production art between the bag and the heart.

I can see me giving these out to people at events over the next few months.  Something fun to randomly give out, though once the snack is done the plastic wrap around the heart is trash and the turtle faces are eaten, that leaves only a generic plastic heart.   Not really the Turtle memory that you can get with most of the other TMNT Valentine Products that are out right now.
