Review: TMNT NECA Scalers

In 2008 NECA released the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toys based on the Mirage comics.  This set was a hit with TMNT fans, as we soon got an April O’Neil and then they stopped releasing TMNT toys.  As we were waiting for our Shredder, and hoping for others.  It seemed like that was it for NECA, as the License was no longer in their hands.  This year I got my hands on one of their new products, the Scalers.  Here is my review of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Scalers Mini-Figure Set.

Scalers are small toys, that can’t move. They just hold onto ropes, wires or other thing objects.  They can hang on backpacks, suitcases, microphone wires, and so much more as shown on the back of their box.  They came out with one for each turtle, based on the classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series.  Each of which a different expression.

Since opening these I have my Michelangelo hanging on my wallet, wherever I go people point him out and ask me about him.  He’s a great conversation piece and has held on with no problems.  I do find I really enjoy this product on a whole.

I recommend this for TMNT fans who like to have little things around to show their fandom.  This would be good for kids or adults.  And would make a great gift for any TMNT fan you know who likes the original cartoon series.

Do you have any of the TMNT Scalers by NECA?  If so, which ones?  Please share reviews, comments and questions below!
