Review: TMNT Shellraiser Playmates Toy

In an attempt to get away from the Kraang and stop them from getting their hands on the Power Cel, the Turtles have no choice but to use the Power Cel as Leatherhead trusts it in their hands.  In doing so they create their new ride, the Shellraiser.  A subway car that ride above and below ground, with enough space for each of the Turtles to be able to enjoy their own spot.  Making this the first ride for the Turtles where they all have their personal seats.  Of course this means for us fans a toy is made.

Released in July 2012 the Shellraiser became Boy Toy of the year for 2012.  Impressive seeing as how the ride did not appear in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon until December 15th 2012 and did not become the Shellraiser till February 15th 2013.  It says a lot for a toy to be able to go so far on it’s own.  The toy in it’s own way made the fans more excited for the Shellraiser to appear in the series.

I was not able to get my hands on a Shellraiser when they first came out, with traveling almost all the time this was one of the things I had to just stare at on the toy shelves at the stores.  For my birthday this year I put in a request for it, and my friend Shadow Wolf was kind enough to pick one up for me!  Now I finally get to share my review of the Shellraiser!

Do you own a Shellraiser?  What do you think of it?  All reviews, comments and questions welcomed below.
