There are some things that just stand out to me as I walk around the stores. We all know Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles grab my attention all the time, though what is likely to be bought and what stays at the store can usually be determined before I pick the new item up. I buy clothes that fit me, I buy useful items that can serve more than one purpose and I buy shiny things that make me go “AWWW Adorable!” and the item I’m reviewing for the day before Valentine is one of those Awwww adorable moments. This is the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shellraiser Tin.
What caught my attention about this is the only thing that says Valentine on it is the sticker on the wrapper. This little tin does not have to just sit out for the Holiday, but can be used all year long to keep things safe and look cool! With all four Turtles as a part of the tin, the shell raiser, and an easy to close and open lid this little item became a must have as soon as I saw it. I do have a weakness for tin TMNT items, I usually really like the designs and can always find stuff to store inside of them.
Once getting a closer look at the tin, I saw that it is by Frankford, the same company that brought us the Leonardo Heart Box. This is a 2015 release and has some sort of food inside. Though I did not see clues to what the food was, besides for the ingredients. Leaving this a mystery until opened. The sticker that was attached to the wrapper didn’t have much to say… just “Nickelodeon: Happy Valentine’s Ninja!” And the weight for the food inside. This intrigued me with curiosity.
The plastic was very easy to remove from the tin. Once opened I was surprised to find heart shaped gummies, just like the ones in the Leonardo Heart Box. There was only eight of them this time, a nice snack for anyone who loves gummies. Totally worth it for anyone who loves tins. The mystery was over, but the excitement of the tin remains.
The detail on this tin is just outstanding, with Michelangelo and Raphael on one side as Leonardo and Donatello are on the other side. All four Turtles can be felt popping up from the tin, as well as the designs around the wheels and windows. The color is great, as it has greens and other colors mixed into the Shellraiser the Turtles still stand out and remain the true focus point of the Shellraiser.

I do recommend this product for any Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle fan who loves the Nickelodeon series. It’s a great shelf piece, could have a long collection life if not dinged up too much, and best of all you can store small things inside of it. This product gets two thumbs up from me. I found it at Target.
