Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pinball 2020

Where have I been?  That’s a story for another day.  What’s new with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is much more exciting and fun.  In June 1991 a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pinball Machine hit the market.  Found at Arcades, bars, movie theaters and more around the world.  This game was made by Data East USA, Inc.  As a kid I did not see this game in person till I got to play it at the Words & Pictures Museum in Northampton, MA.  I totally loved the game and almost bought one for myself at $1,000 in the early 2000’s.  I really wanted to own one, but things fell through and it remains one of the things that is not in my collection.  I never would’ve dreamed that a new Ninja Turtle Pinball Machine would ever hit the market after this.  Which brings forth the excitement that I want to share today.  Stern Pinball Announces New Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pinball Machine!   No I’m not kidding, that’s the title of the press release!

This game was designed by people who truly love the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon and is made to bring in all that amazing nostic feelings that one could get by watching the old series.  They got the bad guys, the Turtle Van, the Turtle blimp and April O’Neil in all her yellow jumpsuit glory!  Artwork is oozing out of every part of this machine that throws us into the story of our favorite Turtles.  They try to cover just about each area that would be needed in the game, even highlighting each of the Ninja Turtle weapons.

Checking out some of these detailed photos of the machine I can not wait to see it in person.  As the best review is when we can touch, hear and test the game play out for ourselves.  Hopefully I will have a video of my first time seeing this game.  The video provided is a nice up close look at some of the action you can get while playing the game, though I want to hear the game itself.  That brings all the action to life for me.  And one of the things I am most excited for when this game appears in the public.

There are three different versions of this game.  Each of which has their own artwork that stands out next to each other.  My favorite of the three goes to the ooze green frame of the Limited Edition Model with the smashing Turtle Van art work on the side of the machine.    The art is done by Zombie Yeti, who is no stranger to doing art for awesome Pinball Machines as he’s designed for a few other machines by Stern’s including Deadpool.  And how fitting is it that Zombie Yeti also enriched the Ghostbusters Pinball Machine with his talents.  His artwork is bold and flashy, and brings in the feel of our classic fun loving Turtles.  He did the artwork for all three of the cabinets coming out and I just love how well they look next to each other.  If I had the space and money this would be a collectors dream set of games.

Here are some awesome facts about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pinball Machine by Stern’s.

This is exciting news and something to help perk up us Turtle Fans during a weird time in our life.  Something new, with that taste of the old Turtles we love.  A big thanks to Stern’s for making this a reality and high hopes to get a chance to see and maybe own one of these awesome machines in my future.
