Cowabunga Corner #10

In This episode we go back to late 1990 and early 1991, the beginning of my days as a Turtle for Children Birthday parties, movie theaters and more. I was surprised to find this much video footage from those days, including video from one of our first parties.

The “Party Turtle” lasted from March 1991 to August 1993, did over 150 Parties, also worked all the movie theaters in the area for TMNT 2 and TMNT 3. Another gig we would do was visit sick or injured kids at the Hospitals in the area, as well as making home visits if a hospital requested it for any children. So this here is another area in which I have a lot of stories to share from my past.

Cowabunga Corner #9

In this episode I talk about the Coming Out of Their Shells Tour, that went around in 1990 through 1991. A fun show, made for children. Picked on by many fans, though it was never intended for the older fans. Seeing it live is far better than watching it on TV.

If you have stories to share about the Coming Out of Their Shells Tour, please do share!

In this episode I talk about the playmate toys. I share some old videos of my collection in this video, from Christmas videos to set ups I did around my room. I show how some of the toys are stored through the year before they’re rotated into the display.

If anyone from Playmates is reading this, I do beg of you to release the new toys that you already have done. There are fans waiting to see them hit the shelves and looking for to owning the toys. So please, do hear us and give us something for 2010 to look forward to

In this episode I talk about the four TMNT movies. Just a fast review of the movies, I will do a review of all four movies with each having their own blog at another time. This is just an over view of them.

Please do your own reviews as a reply here. What do you think of the movies, which is your favorite.

Cowabunga Corner #5

In this episode we show another area of the Ninja Turtle History that Cowabunga Corner will cover, this being Kevin Eastman’s “Words & Pictures Museum”.

The Museum was a comic book arts Museum, though the locals called it “The Ninja Turtles Museum”. They had a wonderful set up of original art work from all sorts of comic books, and even statues of the Ninja Turtles on the interactive floor.

Cowabunga Corner #4

In this episode I speak about “Ninja Turtles : The Next Mutation”. A series that was loved when it was aired, though is now left in the dark for the most part.

I personally still enjoy the Next Mutation and encourage anyone who have not seen it to give it a try before judging it. A try is more than the first few episodes. Check out some of the later episodes like “Trust Dr. Quease” and “Unchain My Heart”.

In this episode, I do use a little bit of footage from my visit to the set of the Next Mutation. There will be an episode more focused on the visit, where I talk about what I did and saw. Along with more video footage from the set.

Cowabunga Corner #3

In 2009 a TMNT movie made for TV came out called “Turtles Forever” it was aired by 4Kids in November. This movie ia cross over between the different versions of the Ninja Turtles and is a movie that all fans should give a chance. People may be surprised with the way it turns out.

In this episode I will cover my thoughts on “Turtles Forever”. What I liked and did not like about the movie. I warn you now, there are spoilers about the movie through the blog. So see the movie before watching the blog. These are just my personal views of the movie, it does not reflect the views of any other fan.

Please feel free to do a review of “Turtles Forever” and connect them as a video reply.

Cowabunga Corner #2

In this episode I cover the tour that took place in 2009 for 25 years of TMNT.

They had a Thomas Bus made into the Turtle Van on the outside. On the Inside, we had a Ninja Turtles Museum with toys, videos, photos, and even storyboard art work. This Tour went across the United States, stopping in cities for meet and greet with fans. This was free to the public, so people could go through and see the history of the Turtles.

The main crew on this trip was Mike and Aaron, as they would drive this bus from city to city. These two people were the only ones who appeared at every stop of the tour.

I decided to do a video blog to cover a bunch of TMNT stuff and a few other subjects along the way. The first few video blogs will mainly focus on the Ninja Turtles though. This one is my introduction blog, who I am, how I became a fan and what this blog is about.

Hope everyone enjoys. I do ask in the blog for video replies of how the viewers became TMNT fans, please feel free to join in on this and share your story.
