It’s quite difficult for a sequel to succeed as well as the first movie does. It’s even more difficult when that sequel is nearly three decades later. Tron: Legacy had this as a major disadvantage right from the start. How does one follow up with a movie with the original cast, 28 years later?
Black Swan is a film about a dancer, Nina, who wants to be perfect and pushes herself so hard that it drives her crazy. Those around her do not realize how crazy she is becoming as she is placed as the lead in Swan Lake. Her teacher is having her do both the white and black swan, though she’s great as the white swan she’s needs to learn how to be bad and show it for the black swan. The more work she does to perform the black swan, the closer she becomes to insanity.
Chronicles of Narnia: “The Voyage of the Dawn Treader” is a lot like the first two movies. So, if you enjoyed the other two movies you will more than likely enjoy this movie. The effects, characters, and fight scenes are all well done.
Collectors are everywhere you go and everyone knows someone who collects, even if the collector is not public about it. From Stamps, Baseball cards, DVDs, money to toy and statues, we’re surrounded in a world filled with so many collectable items that people just walk by daily not realizing how important it is to someone else in the world. Though, are collectors someone who should be pointed at for being different, obsessive, selfish or worse? I don’t think anyone should be out casted by hobbies that do not hurt other people.
Got the chance to see Tangled, and as a Disney fan I was excited. I usually enjoy most everything about their movies; plots, character design, character growth, and music all play an important role in Disney movies. This year has been filled to the brim with CGI movies, so to get two thumbs up from me it would have to be as good as the others that have come out.
In 2005, Eric Anzalone from the Village People took time to be interviewed for his work he did with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Here on Cowabunga Corner we’d like to share this interview for the first time, as a lead in to our 12th episode for season two, a video interview with Eric.
