In Memory of Sassy

Family is a big part of my life, from my blood relatives to friends, and pets.  With pets I’ve always had them around as long as I can remember.  Cats and dogs have been in my family.  I’ve heard the tales of the pets before my memories, though it’s the ones that have taken part in my life that I do recall which I want to share the memories of.   So from time to time I’ll come on here to share a story of someone who touched my life, from dogs, cats, birds and even chipmunks.  Right now I want to share 15 years of the life of a dog named Sassy.

Intro to "The Shape of a Turtle"

Hey everyone, coming soon to Cowabunga Corner is a fanfic I wrote back when I was still in High School, 1996 through 1997. I mainly wrote this throughout the day at school and copying it onto the computer when I got home. What gave me the idea of doing this story was making a fanfic that would crossover with some characters that I created back in 1991, "The Shapers".

Movie Review: Men in Black 3

For me, there’s not many movies out there that when the title is said their theme song gets stuck in my head.  Though this is one film where that is exactly what happens.  As soon as I hear the worlds “Men in Black”, all I can remember is that theme song that came out back in 1997.  It was so good and so cool that I will always remember that song and the original Men in Black movie lands right in that same area, very unforgettable film that stands out.  The sequel came out in 2002 and did not get as much love as the original film.

Words and Pictures Membership Party 1997

In honor of it being Kevin Eastman’s Birthday, a week from today, I would like to share one of my many stories of a time I met up with Kevin.  Today’s story goes back to 1997 at the Words & Pictures Museum.  It was time for the Words & Pictures membership party and a handful of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle fans from the TMNT-L mailing list decided to meet up for the event this year.  It was a busy weekend.  On Thursday, Kevin was doing a speech about his life at the museum and we also had the airing of the second episode of the Next Mutation that Friday.

A Fallen Dream

Ever get so close to your dream before, that just as you’re touching it some force beyond your control pulls it away?  I’ve lived with this being a tease throughout my life, though never could I have ever thought I would get as close to that dream as I did back in 1997 to 1998.

Michele Ivey's "Cowabunga Corner" #64

Hiya everyone,

Welcome to episode 12 of Cowabunga Corner Season 3. In this episode I review the Next Mutation Toy Line by Playmate Toys.

Much like the TMNT Movie toy line that came out in the early 1990′s, the limbs of the toys is rubber while their shells are plastic. For my thoughts on these toys just watch the video.

Please feel free to leave comments, do video replies, rate the video and if you haven’t please do subscribe to our channel.

Michele Ivey's "Cowabunga Corner" #47

Cowabunga Corner #24

Cowabunga Corner #15

In this episode of “Cowabunga Corner” I share my visit to the set of “Ninja Turtles : The Next Mutation”.

This is the first time I’m sharing any copies of this video. Back in July 1997 I got to go to Vancouver, B.C. and visit the set of Ninja Turtles : The Next Mutation. I spent two days on the set, and had an amazing time. It was hard to cram this into 10 minutes, so all of the video is fast forward.
