Cowabunga Corner #101: Motor City Comic Con

Hey everyone,

Random Collection Piece #9

Throughout the years of being a Ninja Turtle fan, my collection has been growing.  Every year I get something new that joins the collection.  Growing since 1989, I have over 500 Ninja Turtle toys out of package and over 300 in package, as well as books, animation cels, original comic art, scripts and so much more.  To cover all of this on Cowabunga Corner is not something I really think I can do.  Though I get a lot of questions about my collection, so I figured I could do random stories weekly to share one item in my collection.

Cowabunga Corner #85: 2009 Empire State Building

Hey everyone,

Review: 100-Page Spectacular TMNT Archie

One of the great comic series of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is the Archie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures Comics.  These originally came out following the original cartoon series by David Wise.  Though by issue 5, they started to go into their own direction, introducing new characters and becoming a whole new world of Ninja Turtles.

Meeting Fans across Country

Traveling the country in 2009 was a dream trip.  I was getting to meet Turtle Fans in every state along the way, answering questions at the bus when people had Turtle questions, seeing fans of all ages coming to see the Tour bus.  I only wish I was working officially with the tour.  But, it was a wild and crazy trip I will never forget.  Though there was something weird for me on this trip, and that was how many people knew who I was.

Now 2009 is still a year before I started “Cowabunga Corner”, it was five years since the VH1 show aired.  And yet as I went across country, every state, every city I went to, people knew me.  Even at rest areas people would come up asking “Are you the Turtle Girl?”, so now I’d like to share some of these fan stories from across the United States in 2009.

Giving and Getting Help

This world is filled with so many different kinds of people.  A lot of times you just hear all the bad stories on the news, and people forget that we’re all human and there is good out there.  I would like to share a few stories here of people with open hearts helping others.

TMNT Movie News: Looking into Directors

Since 2009, Paramount Pictures has been working on a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie.  A reboot of the story, meaning this will be the first movie that is not holding true to the origins of the 1990 release of the film.  For the first few years, they tossed around a handful of different writers that could be working on the film, finally taking in Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec and keeping them on board.

Cowabunga Corner #23

In this episode of “Cowabunga Corner” I’m talking about the Viacom buy out of Ninja Turtles.
