Movie Review: "Star Trek: Into the Dark"

Growing up I have always known of Star Trek, it was one of those things that I would see on the TV often. While no one in my family is Trekkies, we would watch the series when they were on. I personally enjoyed Next Generation and Voyager. Though by no means would I say I’m a Trekkie or even a Trekker.

Movie Review: Madagascar 3

In 2005 a series of movies started, it was just seen as another CGI film at the time about zoo animals.  These zoo animals get in trouble and are shipped away from their home.  Their goal was to try and find away home.  Though things got rough and they were trapped at their new home.  One of the big draws for this movie was the star list of voice actors they had and of course that the movie is from DreamWorks made it very appealing for moviegoers as well.  Who would have guessed that this film would get two sequels and even a spin-off CGI series?   This week, their third film comes to theaters!

Review: The Five-Year Engagement

Some movies have interesting concepts but just are not well executed  This type of problem lands in all genres, be it comedy, action, romance, or adventure.  They have a great idea, though the problem is making it a full length movie for people to enjoy.  Some movie will start off well, as their idea is seen for those few glimpses in the beginning, but then it drags and drags.  This was the feeling of the movie “The Five-Year Engagement”.

Review: Monster Jam 2005

Monster Jam, January 2005, in Michigan was a total blast.  I shared the story of the day I got to see the Monster truck, the following day was Monster Jam.  This has been my first and only time to Monster Jam, so going I did not know what to except.  I bought my tickets in advance as soon as I knew the truck was going to be there.  So getting to the show was about finding the seats and seeing what merchandise was for sale, but more importantly was what Alex Blackwelland told me about.
