Review: Motor City Comic Con 2013

In 1996 I made friends with a woman who took the nickname Leonardo on TMNT-L. Before knowing her, I went to SiFi conventions only, though she introduced me to comic book conventions. The first Comic Con I went to was Mid-Ohio Comic Con, I’ve only been to that event a few times.

Thank You!

When I started Cowabunga Corner in 2010, I thought it was going to be just a few videos shot to share some of my stories.  Though with a lot of good feedback of people excited about the new blog, it kept going.  And some things started to change.  Originally just a show of me talking at a camera has now become a show with event footage and interviews.  Sharing stories of other fans and guests.  Cowabunga Corner expanded from what I thought it was going to be, and grew before my eyes.  Costing more than I could've pictured.  Though after discussing things with crew members, viewers and some of our guests we decided to start this kickstarter project.  Which was a great success thanks to ou

Turtle Con 2003 - Fan Booth

When we did Turtle Con 2000, the original plan was to make money to keep doing the booth each year.  Though we did not make money.  In 2001 we held the booth again, but less people came and it still cost as much to hold.  So in 2002 we skipped out on doing a booth at the convention.  When 2003 rolled around we discussed the idea of doing a convention booth for the return of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  So we pulled the money together and did a weekend of friends that took a lot of work and was a lot of fun.

Review: Motor City Comic Con 2012

Every year I go to Motor City Comic Con.  It’s one of the smaller conventions that I go to.  I started going here in 1997 and have made many friends at this event over the years.  In fact, my friends are the only reason I still go to the event.  They don’t really have a lot of stuff there that holds my attention anymore as their guests charge for autographs, their panels are hard to hear in, and they’re overpriced for this size of an event.  Though I still manage to get into the show every year to see a few dealers and guests who’ve become my friends through the years.

Con Review: Motor City Comic Con 2011

Since 1997, I have been attending “Motor City Comic Con”, a comic book convention held in Novi, Michigan.  Like most comic book conventions, there’s a dealer room, artist alley, panel rooms and guests.  They bring in Media guests from all sorts of medias from TV shows, movies and wrestling.  And let’s not forget the long list of comic artist that they bring in.
