Review: IDW Mirco TMNT Series #5

The original Mirage Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Micro Series only had four issues, one for each Turtle.  These were awesome comics that connected back to the main series, each comic sharing a story of one character so you could get to know that character better and did some things that would touch the main story.  IDW Publishing has decided to bring back the Micro Series, though to our surprise there are more than four issues.  This review is of issue five of the TMNT Micro Series, an issue based around Splinter.  This issue picks up directly after issue 10 of the ongoing series.

Review: TMNT Micro Series Vol 1

IDW Publishing has been bringing us a handful of great comic books, this time it’s the IDW TMNT Micro Series. With a total of 8 in production, we’ve seen four of them so far and they’ve been great.  I’ve had the chance to review each of these comics as they came out.  There was the Raphael issue, which brought us signs of Bebop and Rocksteady.

Review: IDW TMNT #10

Since IDW has started the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle run, we have been waiting for the Shredder to make an appearance, to see the new story line start up, and how they are going to handle the Foot.  After issue 5, the question got even bigger with the original Oroku Saki returning as well?  When the cover of issue 10 was released, everyone saw the new image of the Shredder, which has made us so excited, waiting for this issue of Turtles to hit the shelves. Now it's finally here!

Review: Motor City Comic Con 2012

Every year I go to Motor City Comic Con.  It’s one of the smaller conventions that I go to.  I started going here in 1997 and have made many friends at this event over the years.  In fact, my friends are the only reason I still go to the event.  They don’t really have a lot of stuff there that holds my attention anymore as their guests charge for autographs, their panels are hard to hear in, and they’re overpriced for this size of an event.  Though I still manage to get into the show every year to see a few dealers and guests who’ve become my friends through the years.

Teenage Alien Ninja Turtles - The jokes

Since Michael Bay’s speech about Aliens, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle fans have been going crazy with all sorts of different things picking on it.  We’ve got the media picking it up to where TMZ had Robbie Rist on the show, the voice of the fans; we’ve had Conan O'Brien pick on the movie and so much more.  The hits just keep coming, though some of the best ones have been in the forum of art, be it music or drawings.  I’m going to take a little bit of time now to share some of my favorite Teenage Alien Ninja Turtle pieces that has come out in the last month of crazy Ninja Turtle news.

First, a few from people us Turtle fans all know and enjoy a head sketch Peter did for his blog about this subject.  I just found this a little head sketch picking at the notion of the Turtles as aliens.  Nice of Peter to write up a blog for the fans, seeing as how he has no control over any of what’s going on with the TMNT.

Review: IDW TMNT #8

Its that time of the month again to hit the comic book shops as we have another awesome issue of the IDW Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to get our hands on.  In this issue, we're picking up right where issue 7 left off where Raph and Mike came home to find Splinter, Don and Leo under attack by Mousers!  Controlled by Old Hob, these Mousers are taking the Turtles by surprised and is winning this battle.

Review: TMNT Infestation 2 Part 2

Last week we shared a review of a totally awesome TMNT Comic, Infestation 2 TMNT.  It was part one of a two part story.  This week we’re bringing you a review of the second half of this comic, where we learn how the Turtles deal with these creatures that are below the streets of New York City!

Review: Image TMNT #25

Last September, I reviewed a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Comic made by the fans. This comic was to pick up where Image left off to finish up the story and connect it to Mirage Volume 4, one of the biggest gaps in Ninja Turtle’s history that needed to be fixed.

Review: IDW Micro Series #3 Donatello

IDW is still taking us for a ride with all these great comic books coming out, with Tom Waltz leading the way with the main series and Brian Lynch bringing us these Micro issues. It’s no wonder we’re all excited every month waiting for the next comic to hit the shelves.
