Review: IDW Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Board Games

I recently was gifted a copy of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles board game Showdown and after playing it, I decided to finally buy another TMNT game called Shadows of the Past. I had coveted Shadows of the Past since I first saw their kickstarter campaign. The games are very different from one another, but both have something to offer. Popular board game reviewers have videos on YouTube that are far better at reviewing games than I am, so what you’re going to get here is the viewpoint of a slightly more experienced than average board game player (notice I didn’t mention skill) and a lifelong obsessed Ninja Turtles fan.

Review: Half Shell Heroes Tiger Claw, Newtralizer, Bebop and Rocksteady

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toys are everywhere these days.  I see them on TV, in flyers, newspapers and internet websites.  It’s great to see them doing so well for another Holiday season.  I get to the store and the toys are off the shelves, in people’s carts at the register, being carried by fans and hidden in that spot so someone can come back to buy what they’re looking for.  Just loving this buzz of TMNT passion that is flying around.  To keep the Holiday feel of reviews going, here is my review of the Half Shell Heroes sets Tiger Claw with Newtralizer and Bebop with Rocksteady.

Review: TMNT Minimates Series 2 Keychains

Some of the items that are on the market I’ve been enjoying this year have been the small toys of the Turtles.  We got the tiny Half Shell Heroes, the blind bag Keychains, and even the Funko blind box toys.  The small ones are fun because they don’t take up as much room, easier to travel with and can make good displays.  Here is one of the other group of small toys released, these are the Diamond Select Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Minimates Series 2 Keychain two packs.

Review: TMNT Funko Blind Box Toys

FUNKO has been making some great toys as of recently that we have shared some of here on Cowabunga Corner.  Enjoying the POP figures for each of the Turtles, I have key chains of theirs hanging on the Cowabunga Corner Camera and there’s still so much to share.  One of the things they’ve released is their Blind Box figures.  With twelve different characters to collect it’s one of those things that fans can enjoy.  This video is an opening of two blind boxes and a few of their figures.

Video Review: TMNT Mix & Match Casey, Bebop and Rocksteady

Series two of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mix and Match toys has been released, with Casey Jones, Bebop and Rocksteady.  These are more toys to add to the batch of action figures which exchanges body pieces.  A fun toy line that gives some of the Ninja Turtle figures a chance for a makeover.  For better or worse, let’s take a look at these new versions of characters who were released in the on going TMNT Action figure line.  This is my review of Mix and Match Casey Jones, Bebop and Rocksteady.

Review: Half Shell Heroes Dinos and Turtles and "Blast into the Past" Special

Last week we shared the review for “Blast into the Past” A big Golden Book.  It’s based on the new Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Special.  This week, we’re bringing our focus back there, as “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Blast into the Past” airs on TV for it’s first time on November 22nd.  This review brings us right to the heart of the special, Playmates Toys.  Inspired by the Half Shell Heroes toys, here is my review of the 2pack sets of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Dinos.

Review: IDW TMNT #50 *SPOILER*

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has so many different origins, stories, character growth and character designs.  A lot of people always try to compare them to each other, at the same time they’re so different.  IDW Publishing has been releasing their own version of the Turtles which is not like any other out there.  With their own history for the characters, their own plots that don’t match up to any other series and their own way of handling very intense moments.  Recently IDW made a lot of news with Donatello, that was only the build up for what is coming in issue 50.  Here is a spoiler filled review of issue 50 from IDW TMNT.
