Random Collection #35

Throughout the years of being a Ninja Turtle fan, my collection has been growing.  Every year I get something new that joins the collection.  Growing since 1989, I have over 500 Ninja Turtle toys out of package and over 300 in package, as well as books, animation cels, original comic art, scripts and so much more.  To cover all of this on Cowabunga Corner is not something I really think I can do.  Though I get a lot of questions about my collection, so I figured I could do random stories from time to time to share one item in my collection.  This one is about “Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles Kampen Mot Soltjuvarna” record book.

Review: TMNT "Green vs. Mean"

There are many childhood memories that kids can relate to each other.  As adults we look back and say “I remember when” as so many people stories can be shared with their peers young and old.  It can be a big surprise how many companies can connect children to adults.  From Disney, LEGO, Marvel, DC, Warner Brothers, and Nickelodeon.  Shows we watched as kids being brought back in new versions for children of today.

Review: TMNT Shadow Book

These days you find a lot of activity books that include other cool features to help encourage children to read.  This book here is a Shadow and Sound Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles book.  It comes with a flashlight that has sound buttons.  Inside the book is pop up pages.  Based on the Nickelodeon series this seems like a fun product, so I had to take a crack at reviewing it for the camera!

Review: Mikey's Monster

Today I will be sharing with you my review of Step Into Reading: Mikey's Monster. This is a children's book adapted from episode 12 of the Nickelodeon series, "It Came From the Depths".

The book starts out as the episode does. Leatherhead is running around TCRI escaping with the Kraang's power cell. There are differences in this book from the episode. One of them being that dialogue was added to this scene.

Review: IDW MLP:FIM Micro Series "Pinkie Pie"

Inspiration comes from everywhere from art, plants, smells and people.  Once someone finds something that inspires them, it's hard to let go of it.  One of the hardest things to face is knowing that not only is that inspiration disappearing but it does not really wish to disappear.  It's depressing on all angels.  But you can not force those things to keep going forward if the path they're on, no longer works for them.  This is what Pinkie

Review: IDW Micro Series Villains Hob

In the first issue of IDW's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles we learned of a new villain. This mutant cat who was out to destroy the Turtles. He hated them, and had some history with the Turtles. Though the question often rises why this cat is as bad as he was. Now IDW is sharing with us their Villian Micro Series helping wrapping up some of the questions. This month's TMNT Micro Series issue is all about Old Hob.

Review: IDW TMNT Micro Baxter Stockman

Creator of the Mousers, boss of April O’Neil, and a totally evil mad scientist.  Baxter was taken in for the original cartoon character first they change the color of his skin, then they turn him into a fly.  Mirage brought him back in Volume 2, turning him into a robot.

Review: Free Comic Book Day 2013

The first Saturday in May is a yearly event that people can enjoy. As Comic Book stores receive Free Comic Books to pass out to anyone who shows up. In the Detroit area each Comic Book store does their own thing and the event takes place in the store. This is how I thought it was done everywhere, though this year there was two events I wanted to go to that was out of state. I was in for a shock with how one town runs their free comic book day like a Holiday.

Review: TMNT "Enter the Lair" by Random House

Going around stores has started to remind me of the early 1990’s, finding different Ninja Turtle items.  It feels great to know that the Turtles are doing so well, and I love to see all the different items coming out right now.  Most of the time I can’t pick everything up, though some items stand out to where I just have to get it for the collection.  One of the items I found back in February while shopping in Lexington, Kentucky was this 3-D TMNT book “Enter the Lair”.  I’ll like to share my thoughts on this cool item.
