Movie Review: Madagascar 3

In 2005 a series of movies started, it was just seen as another CGI film at the time about zoo animals.  These zoo animals get in trouble and are shipped away from their home.  Their goal was to try and find away home.  Though things got rough and they were trapped at their new home.  One of the big draws for this movie was the star list of voice actors they had and of course that the movie is from DreamWorks made it very appealing for moviegoers as well.  Who would have guessed that this film would get two sequels and even a spin-off CGI series?   This week, their third film comes to theaters!

Review: "The Raven"

Edgar Allan Poe was a great writer who lived a hard life.  In his final days, he was found out of it and taken to a hospital, where he died.  The facts of his death remain a mystery to this day.  A new movie is coming out this weekend called “The Raven”, which centers on a time where no one really knows what happened.  The movie comes up with it’s own myth for the death of Edgar Allan Poe, showing us the last few days of what could've been his life, an adventure story of mystery, death and romance.

Review: Pirates Band of Misfits

With all sorts of CGI movies coming out these days, it’s a breath of fresh air to see an animated movie that is not CGI.  “The Pirates! Band of Misfits” is a great movie coming to theaters this Friday, full of laughs, adventure, and fun characters.  Originally this movie was titled “The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists”, which made a lot more sense as these Pirates find themselves entering a Scientist of the Year contest.

"Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" Review

Disney has been riding the wave of success with their Pirates of the Caribbean movies.  Three very successful movies have come and gone that were closely tied together with a flowing plot that brought you from one movie into the next.  With adventure, comedy, and great effects, the movies made their mark in the box offices.  Of course it did not hurt that they all starred named actors like Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom.
