Review: Rob Paulsen's Talkin Toons TMNT

In 1989, I was introduced to a TV series that changed my life.  Through the years of knowing this show I have had some really cool adventures, met some wonderful people and have grown an amazing collection.  And the full time I’ve held a deep respect for those who made this all happen for me, the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Cartoon series.  This show was truly what got me hooked to Ninja Turtles and I could never thank the cast and crew enough for how much it has helped me in my life.  Really, I never knew if I’d get the chance to meet the cast of the show.  So when Rob Paulsen announced that the cast was going to be on his podcast Talkin Toons, as well as it being recorded live, I knew this was an event I could not miss.

Review: SDCC TMNT Panel 2012

Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series is coming out on September 29th, 2012. With this information there was no way that San Diego Comic Con could pass up on having a totally awesome TMNT panel, bringing in the cast and creative team behind the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Cowabunga Corner crew, as well as many other TMNT fans, gathered for this event to try and be some of the first to see and hear the news about this new series.

Movie Review: Peace, Love and understanding

Romance is one of those areas in life that doesn't normally entertain me.  I usually feel it's forced when shoved into a story, because people like the results of a love story.  I do not really hang out with many people who enjoy love stories, so these are not the movies we buy or go see.  So when I learned that the movie we were seeing is called "Love, Peace and Misunderstanding", I was debating if I would enjoy the movie or be bored.

Movie Review: Madagascar 3

In 2005 a series of movies started, it was just seen as another CGI film at the time about zoo animals.  These zoo animals get in trouble and are shipped away from their home.  Their goal was to try and find away home.  Though things got rough and they were trapped at their new home.  One of the big draws for this movie was the star list of voice actors they had and of course that the movie is from DreamWorks made it very appealing for moviegoers as well.  Who would have guessed that this film would get two sequels and even a spin-off CGI series?   This week, their third film comes to theaters!

Movie Review: High School

Many different type of movies come out through the year and I find myself usually more into the action, adventure, superhero, or animated features.  To be fair, when I receive a screening pass, I will go to it and just give it a try even if the trailer does not hold my attention. Sometimes I get surprised, like Battleship where I went in not expecting much and came out so thrilled with the fact that I saw the movie.   This was one of those pictures where I went in not sure about it, when I told people I got tickets for this movie the biggest reaction is was “what movie?”  The movie is “High School”.

Movie Review: Men in Black 3

For me, there’s not many movies out there that when the title is said their theme song gets stuck in my head.  Though this is one film where that is exactly what happens.  As soon as I hear the worlds “Men in Black”, all I can remember is that theme song that came out back in 1997.  It was so good and so cool that I will always remember that song and the original Men in Black movie lands right in that same area, very unforgettable film that stands out.  The sequel came out in 2002 and did not get as much love as the original film.

Michele Ivey's "Cowabunga Corner" #54

Welcome to episode 2 of Cowabunga Corner Season 3. In this episode I get to interview Pat Fraley, the voice of Krang, Baxter Stockman, and many many more characters. A very talented actor who helped make the original cartoon series as great as it is!

Cars 2 : Movie Review

With the success of most CGI movies these day, it was only a matter of time before the ‘Cars’ movie got its sequel.  Lightning McQueen will make his return to the big screen with all of his friends to learn another life lesson.  Fans of all of the original characters of the first movie will probably enjoy this movie and a good fun well rounded movie for all fans to enjoy. Knowing Disney and Pixar’s history with Toy Story, one could hope that they could keep that kind of feeling going with the Cars franchise, as well.

2005 Interview Eric Anzalone

In 2005, Eric Anzalone from the Village People took time to be interviewed for his work he did with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Here on Cowabunga Corner we’d like to share this interview for the first time, as a lead in to our 12th episode for season two, a video interview with Eric.

Cowabunga Corner:
How did you first hear of the Ninja Turtles?

Eric:
That would have to be the 1st Movie?

CC:
Did you watch the cartoons or movies?

Eric:
I watched the movies. By the time the second film came out, I was already involved with the TMNT, so I would try to catch the cartoons as well- you know character work; trying to make everything consistent.

CC:
Before being a Turtle did you have a favorite Turtle, if so did it change after being in the Tour?
