Review Nick TMNT : MetalHead

Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series has been great at bringing back characters that TMNT fans of the previous series would enjoy like Baxter Stockman, Shredder, and in away even Krang is here.  Thanks to panels at conventions we’ve seen that other characters we care about like LeatherHead and RatKing are coming to this new series.  This week’s episode brought us another character from the past, Metalhead.  In the original cartoon Metalhead was made by Krang, and programed with the Turtle’s personalities to attack them.  The Turtles win and take over Metalhead.  So now comes the fun of seeing how Metalhead is made for this whole new take on the TMNT.

Movie Review: Rock of Ages

It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a new musical.  I enjoy musicals for the most part.  The last one I saw at the theaters that really stood out to me was a film called “Across The Universe” which used only Beatles music.  So this one, which focuses on Rock N’ Roll from the 1980’s had my attention, it’s called “Rock of Ages” and takes place in Hollywood in 1987.  Growing up I listened more to music from the 1960’s, so I was not sure how much I was going to get into this film, going in I did not even know the plot of the film.

Movie Review: Men in Black 3

For me, there’s not many movies out there that when the title is said their theme song gets stuck in my head.  Though this is one film where that is exactly what happens.  As soon as I hear the worlds “Men in Black”, all I can remember is that theme song that came out back in 1997.  It was so good and so cool that I will always remember that song and the original Men in Black movie lands right in that same area, very unforgettable film that stands out.  The sequel came out in 2002 and did not get as much love as the original film.

Character Review: Professor Jordan Perry

In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze, the series introduced a new character.  He was the face of the company who made the ooze.  In the comic books this company was TCRI.  For the movie they wanted to use TCRI, though the name was already taken by a real company so they had to come up with a new name which made it TGRI.  When coming up with a character they named him Professor Jordan Perry.

Character Review: Mona Lisa

Throughout Ninja Turtle History, there have been love interests brought in and out of the stories.  One of those love interest only lasted for one episode, but remains a fan favorite to this very day, Mona Lisa.  She’s been such a strong fan favorite that people have requested me to do a character review on her since I started Cowabunga Corner.

Review: The Three Stooges 2012

The Three Stooges is a comedy group that I have known of since I was a little kid.  Growing up with their films in my house, it’s a group that my family has always respected and enjoyed.  Moe, Larry and Curly were names that we knew well. The Three Stooges have touched millions as their comedy lives on through many people who remember them and do jokes all the time that reflect back to their films.  So when a new movie popped up many Three Stooges fans were on the edge.

Character Review: Dr. Quease

Since there are so many different Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle characters I could never get around to doing a review for every character in our video blog.  I decided to do some character reviews for minor characters here on our website.  These reviews will be about characters who only appeared a handful of times, though people have either asked me to review or are characters I feel deserve some spot light!

The character I’m going to focus on this time is Dr. Quease, who was originally named "Dr. Faboo" in the Saban Mini Bible.  The Mini Bible was their basic info about the series before the scripts were written.  Here is what it says about Dr. Faboo (aka Quease).

Review: IDW TMNT #3

Issue #3 of the IDW TMNT comics came out months ago. Though I’ve been keeping up with reading the comics, I have fallen behind in reviewing them.  Really sorry about that.  I am going to work at catching up on doing some reviews starting with where I left off.  Going to be harder to keep my mind only on #3, since I have read all the way through issue #5.  Though this one is going to focus on only issue 3, not what we know is to come still.
