Happy Thanksgiving to everyone who is celebrating it today! Growing up in the United States, this is one of those Holidays that my family has taken part in my full life. A big meal and enjoying the things that we have to be Thankful for. Loved ones still with us, roof over our heads and the many adventures that we survive. Last year I shared one of the reasons I’m “Thankful” here on Cowabunga Corner. I’ll like to keep that up. One of my biggest things to be Thankful for in my lifetime is my Mother. Here’s a bit about her and how amazing she is.

I got hundreds to thousands of photos through my life. A lot of which would match up to stories here on Cowabunga Corner, but for one reason or another they are not chosen. This does not mean that these photos are not worth sharing and do not hold stories of their own. I would like to keep sharing what I can here on the site, so whenever I can I will share a photo and a story to go along with the photo. If it’s a part of events that has been shared here, we will link back to the stories of the events themselves as well. Hope everyone enjoys. Today’s photo is a family photo.

September 5th, 2014 thru the 7th, there was a convention called Geek Fan Expo. This convention was held at a Double Trees in Dearborn, off of Ford Road just west of M39, the Southfield Expressway. I attended two of the three days.

I travel to all sorts of events, tourist traps, and cities around the United States. Going coast to coast each year, and getting to meet people from all around while doing so. Often I tell people there’s not much to Michigan, I grew up in Michigan and find it hard to enjoy as I see so much else where that is so cool. Though when it comes down to the heart of it, there are a few places I love, such as the Dairy Park. I will like to share another one of those locations, this time I’m going to talk about the Franklin Cider Mill.

Last week I shared the write up about what my family is going through. Now I want to share the video. I have been doing video everyday of the damage and work done. Just to show what is really going on here. This is NOT how our Basement normally looks, the mess seen in this video is caused by stuff falling over and floating in water. We normally have plenty of space to walk around down there and even work space. This mess is bad, check out the video.

One of the benefits of being a VIP for Jared’s Epic Party was the VIP Lunch, pizza at Serious Pizza with guests from the Epic Party. Those who got the VIP badge got to line up at this pizza place for pizza and hanging out. This is my review of the VIP Lunch, the awesome fans, and the cool guests who all came to hang out before the big party.

It was 1991, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were going strong around the world, from the movies, toys, cartoons, and the live concert was still going around the country. This was a smaller show that was edited down from the original “Coming Out of Their Shells Tour”. They came to Michigan to do a show. I was staying at my aunt’s during that time and was not able to convince anyone to take me to the show, since I saw the full show back in October. I was crushed. I wanted to see it alive again so badly. Disappointed that I missed the show, the only thing I got was a poster that was badly beaten left hanging in a store on their pinboard.

Every year for my birthday back when I was in elementary school, my mom would bring cupcakes for the full class. Though only one of those times did it really stand out as it was during the best school year of my life. I’ve already shared how I was bullied in school. Well, in the sixth grade my mom moved me to another school, sadly I was only in this school for one year, Harding Elementary, with my teacher Mr. Aspinwall.
