Detroit FanFare, the new show in town, is trying to become as big as Motor City Comic Con fast. This show did great last year with Stan Lee as their guest of honor so they figured they’d pull in the same type of crowd this year without Stan Lee and jumped into Cobo Hall in Downtown Detroit. The plan was flawed as the guest list did not include Stan Lee and the event was not free to the public like it was last year. Though the event was a blast for EVERY attendee that came to the convention.

August 2011 marked the beginning of a new TMNT comic book series. A lot of hype has surrounded this comic release with Kevin Eastman back on the creative team of the Turtles, this is something we could all look forward to. I know I have been excited ever since I heard Kevin’s name was attached to the comic. It took me a few weeks to get the book, as the first store I checked was sold out and I didn’t know the area well enough to know of another store to go for the new comics. After I finally went to one, I read it on the subway train ride to my next location.

Welcome to episode 1 of Cowabunga Corner Season 3! Been a long fun summer with a LOT of great things adding up for this season. I can not wait to share everything with everyone. We're starting off this season with me talking about how I got my hands on the two Turtle heads I have from Ninja Turtles 3.

In this episode we go back to August 23rd, 1992, PortsMouth, NH for the only Official Turtle Con, hosted by Mirage Studios and Great Eastern Conventions in Association with Pro Portsmouth, INC. At only $3 a ticket, lasting from 10am to 4pm there was a day full of events. We have some of those events on video.
In this episode I dicuss my feelings about the Image Comic Book series over all. From the stories, art, and how it ended up ending to soon. This comic series is one of my favorites that has come out through the years because of how dareing they were to throw things at us that would shock the fans.

In this episode I interview TMNT fan and collector Rutger. Rutger is best known across the internet for his massive TMNT autograph collection as he's been able to get some of the hardest to find autographs and shares them on his website.

In this episode I talk about the playmate toys. I share some old videos of my collection in this video, from Christmas videos to set ups I did around my room. I show how some of the toys are stored through the year before they’re rotated into the display.
