Review: "The Hobbit"

TheHobbitMiddle Earth once again is brought to life on the big screen in Peter Jackson’s newest film “The Hobbit”.  Based on the book, Peter went in and brought the characters to life and on a roller coaster of adventures.  I was thrilled when we got tickets to this movie.  With knowing how great the Lord of the Ring saga was, I knew this was a not to miss movie.  I have not read the books, though I have seen the old animated movie of the Hobbit, a long time ago, which I barely remember.  So my review of this film is from the mind of someone new to the story and not comparing to the book.

Review: SDCC TMNT Panel 2012

Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series is coming out on September 29th, 2012. With this information there was no way that San Diego Comic Con could pass up on having a totally awesome TMNT panel, bringing in the cast and creative team behind the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Cowabunga Corner crew, as well as many other TMNT fans, gathered for this event to try and be some of the first to see and hear the news about this new series.

Review: Comic Con International 2012

Comic Con International is one of the largest conventions in the United States.  While it’s huge and filled with events, every year it gets bigger with a huge dealer rooms and many different types of panels.  Though this convention, if you ask me, is too huge.  So I only go there when I know there’s an event I can not miss, like any Ninja Turtle event.  For the fourth time, I’ve traveled out to San Diego California for the cattle herding event, as I knew Nickelodeon was going to do something for the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series coming this fall.

Tales of TMNT Guests #1

Throughout my years as a Ninja Turtle fan, one thing has always been so amazing that it’s kept me in this fandom and making memories that I’ll never forget and making new friends, whom I hope will be friends for a very long time.  These are some of my stories of meeting the people behind the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Movie Review: Real Steel

Since Comic Con International, I’ve been waiting for a movie to hit the theaters, “Real Steel”.  At the convention, we got to see the robots that will be used in the movie.  Hugh Jackman was there to promote the movie, and not only did my sister, Miki, get to meet him where he signed a poster for her, we saw him later on the streets of San Diego.  Later, during my Los Angels trip, we met up with another crew member from “Real Steel” who also worked on “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze”.

"Mutation in Progress" TMNT 2012 Comic Con Event Review

The crowd was thick around a small pizza place in San Diego today, as fans of the TMNT gathered for the Nickelodeon's "Mutation in Progress" event.  The pizza place had large images of the Turtles over all the windows, so no one could see inside.  Images of the new CGI show, for everyone outside as the sidewalk had Ninjas all over the place.
