Review: IDW MLP “Friendship is Magic” #2

MyLittlePony02-cvrCMy Little Pony Friendship is Magic is a series that has taken the entertainment business by surprise.  It came in as what people saw only to be another reboot of a well known franchise.  Though they did such a great job on this new series that it brought in adult fans both male and female fans have come forward of all ages.  In November IDW picked up on this series by creating a comic book, written by Katie Cook and based off of the popular cartoon series.

Memories "TMNT and Christmas"

TreesmMerry Christmas everyone!   Ever since I was a kid Christmas has been one of my favorite Holidays.  I love all the colors of Christmas lights, going out with the family on Christmas eve to see all the houses done up for the Holiday.  Having the big dinner with the family.  Of course I gotta say gifts are always fun too, but that is only a perk for the excuse to be together with everyone.  I know not all of our readers take part in this Holiday, though I feel all Holidays have this special thing to them no matter which ones you’re a part of.  It’s the warmth of being with those you love, and for my family Christmas is a big part of that.

Review: IDW MLP "Friendship is Magic" #1

In 2011 a good friend of mine told me I had to see the new “My Little Pony” show.  I thought that was a joke, Pony’s?  He wants me to watch “My Little Pony”?  He brought me over to his place and got me to sit through 11 episodes of this new series.  I thought it was good, though still surprised how much he enjoyed the series.  Soon I found a lot of my other local friends were into Pony’s, and even  part of something known as Brony’s.  So I’ve watched more the show, got a few toys and hang out with a lot of people to adore this show.  Once I heard that IDW Publishing was going to do a My Little Pony comic, I knew I had some interest in seeing it.

Review: IDW TMNT #16

With all the hype of the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series on Nickelodeon, let’s not forget the first story arc since Viacom has bought the Turtles.  IDW Publishing has it’s awesome comic line, with a full new story for the Turtles.  Different from any version out there, these Turtles are winning the hearts of their readers.  As Tom Waltz is bringing us on a ride full of action, family moments, bad guys and humor.  In the last issue Michelangelo stood alone against their new foe, as his brothers fell.  So here’s my review of issue 16, where we see how the Turtles face off against this new threat.

Hey everyone,

Review NYC Comic Con 2012

New York Comic Con is one of those events that you either really enjoy or not.  And since the first one, I have made it a goal to get to New York Comic Con yearly.  This event has almost as much as San Diego International Comic Con for the fans.  Actually, it has one thing going for it that San Diego does not.  It is for the fans, meaning fans are put first.  Making it a much more relaxing event.  Even though they have big crowds, exciting panels and an impressive dealer room, they have been able to keep it down to earth and very friendly.  The big question is, have they been able to keep this feel as the convention grows?

Review: IDW TMNT #15

Happy Halloween everyone!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are getting more and more attention now with the new toys and cartoons on the market, though we can not let the first of the Viacom incarnations of the Turtles disappear into the shadows as the IDW Comics are still coming out strong with some awesome new Ninja Turtle Comics.  Today issue 15 has hit the market where the Turtles are going against a very strong and dangerous mutant from Stockman’s lab.  Find out the new history of a character many of us know well from the original cartoons and Archie Comics!
