Review: New York City Comic Con 2011

New York City Comic Con is a convention worthy of having returning fans and booths.  With a great lay out, fun panels, and a nice size crowd, guests for all sorts of people, games for young and older fans and tons of comic booths and artist for everyone to enjoy, this is not an event that disappoints the attendees.  Every year they try to make it bigger and better, with goals to become as big as San Diego Comic Con. Though, personally, I’d be happy if it stays at the size the convention is at right now.

Review "Image TMNT #24"

In 2000, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles came to it’s first real stand still where there was nothing new for the fans, as the bad news hit everyone the Image Comics were ending at issue #23.  At this time, Image was the only source of new stories for the Turtles, written by Gary Carlson, with artwork by Frank Fosco.

Review IDW TMNT #1

August 2011 marked the beginning of a new TMNT comic book series.  A lot of hype has surrounded this comic release with Kevin Eastman back on the creative team of the Turtles, this is something we could all look forward to.  I know I have been excited ever since I heard Kevin’s name was attached to the comic.  It took me a few weeks to get the book, as the first store I checked was sold out and I didn’t know the area well enough to know of another store to go for the new comics.  After I finally went to one, I read it on the subway train ride to my next location.

X-Men First Class: Movie Review

Back in the early 1990s, I found a cartoon on the Fox Channel on Saturday mornings. X-Men: The Animated Series. It had caught my attention mainly because a decade earlier, I watched Spider-man and his Amazing Friends which occasionally featured the X-Men. Right from the start, I found myself hooked and dearly loving the cartoon.

Con Review: Motor City Comic Con 2011

Since 1997, I have been attending “Motor City Comic Con”, a comic book convention held in Novi, Michigan.  Like most comic book conventions, there’s a dealer room, artist alley, panel rooms and guests.  They bring in Media guests from all sorts of medias from TV shows, movies and wrestling.  And let’s not forget the long list of comic artist that they bring in.
