Review NYC Comic Con 2012

New York Comic Con is one of those events that you either really enjoy or not.  And since the first one, I have made it a goal to get to New York Comic Con yearly.  This event has almost as much as San Diego International Comic Con for the fans.  Actually, it has one thing going for it that San Diego does not.  It is for the fans, meaning fans are put first.  Making it a much more relaxing event.  Even though they have big crowds, exciting panels and an impressive dealer room, they have been able to keep it down to earth and very friendly.  The big question is, have they been able to keep this feel as the convention grows?

Halloween TMNT Treat

Halloween the time for costumes, though for some TMNT fans costumes are something we enjoy through out the year at events and conventions.  Over the years I've seen way more people in Turtle costumes and here I'll like to share a TMNT treat for all of our readers.  Some of the awesome Ninja Turtle characters I've seen at events in the last 10 years.

Dragon*Con 2012 Review

Normally, Michele is the convention-goer of Cowabunga Corner. This year, though, I ventured down to Atlanta, GA for Dragon*Con. It’s the largest convention I’m ever planning on attending.  It’s fairly massive, covering four full days and taking place in five hotels. I didn’t get off to a good trip this year as I did some damage to my car when I went over a rock on the interstate and being in Georgia, well, lets just say I hate humidity.

Review: Fright Night 2012

One of the things I do often is go to conventions.  I find it very cool to meet the actors behind the tv shows and movies that I enjoy.  It's neat to hear their stories, and through conventions, I often find new things to check into.  So when I heard of Fright Night Film Fest in Louisville, KY with guests such as Corey Feldman and Sean Astin, I knew this could be a convention I was interested in attending.  I chose this convention to be the beginning of my cross country trip to San Diego for Comic Con International 2012.  Here is my review of Saturday, June 30th at Fight Night Film Fest!

Turtle Con 2003 - Fan Booth

When we did Turtle Con 2000, the original plan was to make money to keep doing the booth each year.  Though we did not make money.  In 2001 we held the booth again, but less people came and it still cost as much to hold.  So in 2002 we skipped out on doing a booth at the convention.  When 2003 rolled around we discussed the idea of doing a convention booth for the return of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  So we pulled the money together and did a weekend of friends that took a lot of work and was a lot of fun.

Review: Motor City Comic Con 2012

Every year I go to Motor City Comic Con.  It’s one of the smaller conventions that I go to.  I started going here in 1997 and have made many friends at this event over the years.  In fact, my friends are the only reason I still go to the event.  They don’t really have a lot of stuff there that holds my attention anymore as their guests charge for autographs, their panels are hard to hear in, and they’re overpriced for this size of an event.  Though I still manage to get into the show every year to see a few dealers and guests who’ve become my friends through the years.

Hey everyone,

Convention Tales: Toronto Fan Expo 2005

With all the conventions that I go to, I’d like to share some fun memories from different conventions.  This time it’ll be a day at Toronto Fan Expo in 2005.  I met up with some friends for the event and even made some new friends at this convention, who I still hang out with to this day.

Tales of TMNT Guest 2

In January, I shared some stories of when I met some of the TMNT Guests.  People seemed to enjoy these stories. So here I am to share a few more of the TMNT Guest stories.
