Ferndale Flood 2014: Day One

Last week I shared the write up about what my family is going through.  Now I want to share the video.  I have been doing video everyday of the damage and work done.  Just to show what is really going on here.  This is NOT how our Basement normally looks, the mess seen in this video is caused by stuff falling over and floating in water.  We normally have plenty of space to walk around down there and even work space.  This mess is bad, check out the video.

Review: IDW Micro Series Villains Hob

In the first issue of IDW's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles we learned of a new villain. This mutant cat who was out to destroy the Turtles. He hated them, and had some history with the Turtles. Though the question often rises why this cat is as bad as he was. Now IDW is sharing with us their Villian Micro Series helping wrapping up some of the questions. This month's TMNT Micro Series issue is all about Old Hob.

Review: Motor City Comic Con 2012

Every year I go to Motor City Comic Con.  It’s one of the smaller conventions that I go to.  I started going here in 1997 and have made many friends at this event over the years.  In fact, my friends are the only reason I still go to the event.  They don’t really have a lot of stuff there that holds my attention anymore as their guests charge for autographs, their panels are hard to hear in, and they’re overpriced for this size of an event.  Though I still manage to get into the show every year to see a few dealers and guests who’ve become my friends through the years.

Ivey's Flashback #4

Hey everyone,

Review: TMNT Ultimate Collection Vol. 2

IDW Publishing has been doing a great job with keeping us Turtle fans on the edge of our seats.  We’ve got so much coming out that any fan can be excited about.  Though one of the coolest things they’re doing is re-releasing the Mirage Comics as they were in large hardcover books known as the “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Ultimate Collection”.

CCN: Interview with David Petersen

Hey everyone,

Retiring a part of my TMNT History

In 1993, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were still going strong in Michigan, with the third movie coming to theaters it was an exciting time.  By this point my family had been doing parties as the Party Turtle for two years. Though my costume began to look very worn out from age and me being over active in the suit, so it was time to make a new one.  The new costume was finished in less than a week, as it was worked on by my dad, mom and I.  We were happy to have it done on March 19th, the same day TMNT III came to the theaters.  19 years later, and that costume is now up for retirement.

Michele Ivey's "Cowabunga Corner" #65

Hiya everyone,

Welcome to episode 13 of Cowabunga Corner Season 3! In this episode I share the video of my dad making some Ninja Turtle puppets for a contest I entered back in May.

The contest was being held by Steven Ho, Donatello’s stunt double from TMNT 2 & 3. He was offering a story board from TMNT 2 to the winners of the contest. It had to a be a video and/or picture that related back to TMNT 2 some how.

Michele Ivey's "Cowabunga Corner" #60

Welcome to episode 8 of Cowabunga Corner Season 3. In this episode I share some video that was taken in 1993 of my trip to Orlando, FL.

Originally planned to just show the MGM Turtles, though when I realized how short this blog would of been I decided to share some more of the trip. Covering both Universal Studios and Disney World.

Review: New York City Comic Con 2011

New York City Comic Con is a convention worthy of having returning fans and booths.  With a great lay out, fun panels, and a nice size crowd, guests for all sorts of people, games for young and older fans and tons of comic booths and artist for everyone to enjoy, this is not an event that disappoints the attendees.  Every year they try to make it bigger and better, with goals to become as big as San Diego Comic Con. Though, personally, I’d be happy if it stays at the size the convention is at right now.
