Cowabunga Corner #98: IDW TMNT 6 to 10

Hey everyone,

Review: IDW TMNT #15

Happy Halloween everyone!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are getting more and more attention now with the new toys and cartoons on the market, though we can not let the first of the Viacom incarnations of the Turtles disappear into the shadows as the IDW Comics are still coming out strong with some awesome new Ninja Turtle Comics.  Today issue 15 has hit the market where the Turtles are going against a very strong and dangerous mutant from Stockman’s lab.  Find out the new history of a character many of us know well from the original cartoons and Archie Comics!

Hey everyone,

Review: IDW TMNT Micro Series #7 April

IDW Publishing is keeping us Turtle fans on our toes as every week something new is coming to the shelves for us to go after.  This week is no exception to the rule.  Today, two TMNT books come to the stores, one in which a lot of fans have been waiting for, the next issue of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Micro Series, April O’Neil.  April gets her own story.  Will there be action?  How will this go without the Turtles there to liven up the moment?  Here are my thoughts on the April O’Neil issue of the TMNT Micro Series.

Review: IDW TMNT #13

For 12 wonderful issues, IDW Publishing has brought us a steady pace of awesome Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle issues.  With the great team of Tom Waltz, Kevin Eastman and Dan Duncan, the kept us on our toes from issue to issue.  I really have felt it and loved each of those 12 issues.  I speak highly of this comic to many people as I tell everyone about the new comics from IDW, wIth the twists and turns they threw at us.  It’s been outstanding and a real treat.  With issue 13 though, sad news has come to us all.  Dan Duncan has another job and is now no longer part of the new TMNT series.

Review: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Classics, Vol. 1

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle fans were a bit surprised and disappointed when IDW released “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” Ultimate Collection Vol. 3 as three issues of the Mirage Volume 1 were not in the book.  This still troubles me, though it seems IDW does have plans to release these books as a new book is coming to the shelves today,  “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Classics”, Volume 1.

Review: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures Vol. 1

Once again IDW brings us something really cool for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle fans.  They went a step farther than how things went with 2009 when Archie released their book of the first three TMNT comics.  How could IDW do more, since they already did another printing of the Archie’s 2009 release?  Simple!  Keep bringing us the releases of the old Archie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures!  And that is what they’re doing!

Review: Color Classic Raphael #1

IDW has been a great thing for us Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle fans as they’re keeping us on our toes with all the awesome things coming out.  One of my favorite things they’re doing is releasing all of the old Mirage Comics in color.  So far we’ve gotten the first group of Mirage Volume one and today they’re releasing the Raphael #1 Micro Series!  So of course I have to pick it up and see just how this one looks in color.

Review: IDW TMNT Micro Series #6

With the new IDW Series, each of our characters have gone through some major rewrites.  One of these characters is Casey Jones.  Casey has been a major part of TMNT history since the early Mirage Comics, though usually his family life is not too much into the story.  4Kids gives you the idea that Casey’s dad’s shop was burned down by the Purple Dragons.  Both 4Kids and Mirage introduces Casey’s grandmother’s farmhouse, and his cousin.  Though the new IDW book has gone a bit more into Casey’s family life by bringing Casey’s father into the story.  Casey’s father is a drunk, who pushes Casey around.
