CCN: Playmates Toys TMNT Interview 2013

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle toys are selling off the shelves as new toys are coming out all the time based on the new Nickelodeon series.  I got the chance to sit down with Pat from Playmates Toys and talk to him about the 2013 line of TMNT action figures.  In this talk I ask him about the sizes of toys, the missing joints of characters and even what toy lines are to come?  Movie Toys?  IDW Series?  New Playsets?  A lot is covered in this interview!

CCN: IDW Nick TMNT Interview with Kenny Byerly

There are few people in the entertainment industry which can say they’ve worked on more than one media of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  Those who have been able to put this upon their resume, usually have a bit of a gap between their work.

Review: Power Con 2013

Conventions are a great way to pass the time.  If you can find a con that covers something you enjoy, it becomes a pass time, a space for networking, learning and collecting.  Which is only a few of the reasons I highly encourage people to go to conventions.  Usually for me it’s running from one event to another in hopes to say hi to a few people along the way.  Power Con was no exception to that rule.  Being a guest did not make it any easier, as I had a booth to run and panels to host.  Here is a write up about Power Con.  Each panel that I went to will not only get their own write up, though the full panels will be uploaded with their reviews.

IDW MLP: FiM #10

My Little Pony “Friendship is magic” issue 10 has been out.  I am sorry that this has taken me awhile to get too.  Though with other reviews, being on a trip and a few very important issues that has been needed to address I am a bit behind.  So I hope those who follow my MLP reviews enjoy this short review of the newest MLP comic from the on going series.

In issue 10 we pick up from the storyline shared in issue 9.  Big Mac needs to get nails for doing some household work.  While trying to get these nails, he is distracted by many others.  This is something that keeps happening to him in this issue.  As Big Mac is pulled into some strange and crazy things through the festival.    During his time there he gets to create a new dance, win the heart of another pony, and get suckered into a deal from Spike.  All of this leading to the end of a hard day and no nails as he is about to return home.  Though a friend talks to him with an important lesson to be learned.

CCN: IDW Interview with Bobby Curnow

Bobby Curnow is the chief editor of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle comics at IDW Publishing.  He handles the ongoing IDW series, micro series and the Nickelodeon series.  Keeping these stories straight so that we can enjoy them.  As a big fan of the IDW series it was a lot of fun to sit down and talk with Bobby about his work on Ninja Turtles.  Check out this video for a fantastic interview.

August 2013 TMNT Comic Giveaway

IDW is doing a wonderful job with the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series.  Written by Tom Waltz and Kevin Eastman we get to see as the Turtles are brought through with a whole new history and adventures.  We have been lucky to get to spend some time with the creative team behind the IDW Comics and recently got some Comic books to share with the fandom.  The stack of Comics we have received are all autographed by Tom Waltz.

Review: IDW TMNT Villain Micro Series Karai

The IDW Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic book series has been building up a tension between Karai and the Shredder for some time now.  As Tom Waltz talks about our interview we shared earlier this year.  We have learned that she is the one who brought Oroku Saki back, that she is the one who fixed the Foot Clan to be what it use to be.  As much that we have learned about her, it was not till today’s issue of TMNT that we get to learn what inspired her and how she went about doing all that she has done.  In the TMNT Villain Micro Series issue #5 Karai’s history is revealed.  Here is my review of this awesome issue of IDW TMNT!

SDCCI: IDW TMNT Panel 2013

Comic Con International had four TMNT panels this year.  The first of these four was the IDW Panel based on the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic books written by Tom Waltz and Kevin Eastman.  This panel was to discuss the future of the TMNT series, what we've known, what we don't know and where they're going.  How characters came into the story and how the story could change through the different writers.
