IDW now behind TMNT Comics!

On April 1st, IDW Publishing announced that they have received the rights to publish new Ninja Turtle comics!  The curious thing I find about this is that they’re doing comics based on the ‘original’ Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, as they keep bringing up Eastman and Laird in the press release.  So are their comics going to be based on the original Mirage story line or the original cartoon story line?

Movie Review: Hop

Easter. One of those holidays that come around every year which millions of people take part in.  With a very religious history to it, it’s still has a light and kid friendly theme to the holiday itself.  Over the years, much like Christmas, the religious side to Easter is covered up a lot by the hype as all the stores sell Easter bunnies, peeps, and Easter egg coloring sets.  The one area where I never felt Easter touched that most other holidays have gotten down for children is movies.

In this episode we go back to August 23rd, 1992, PortsMouth, NH for the only Official Turtle Con, hosted by Mirage Studios and Great Eastern Conventions in Association with Pro Portsmouth, INC. At only $3 a ticket, lasting from 10am to 4pm there was a day full of events. We have some of those events on video.

Movie Review: Paul

Aliens, something people have thought about and declared to see for decades now.  There’s talk of strange sightings in the sky, people who swear they’ve been taken, those who’ve said they witness crashes and so much more.  So many alien stories.  Though a lot of them lead back to the idea that “Aliens are being held at Area 51”.  For TMNT fans, we’ve had this mentioned before as well. Readers of the Archie Ninja Turtle comics would remember that there was a full adventure based on this, and viewers of the 4Kids series would know that Season 4 brought Area 51 into the picture where Bishop was stationed.

Movie Review: Rango

A pet lizard lost on a road trip finds himself on an adventure that makes him the star of his own story. Though as this lizard does not truly know who he is himself, he goes with the flow till he’s shown just how much he’s lied to those who trusted him.  Can this lizard pull himself together and save the town of Dirt?

Cowabunga Corner on Facebook!

A few months ago, Cowabunga Corner put together a fan page on Facebook.  This page has been going over really well with updates throughout the day, about the upcoming episodes of Cowabunga Corner, sharing photos of my past with fellow fans and TMNT Guests.  We always have a lot of fun stuff to share and we’d like our readers to know about the different areas where they can find our stuff.

A Gift of Love, Remembering My Grandmother

Caring. Thoughtful. Wise. Inspirational. These are a few words that I could use to describe my grandmother. I’m sure everyone has someone in their life that they can give a lot of credit to for who they turned out to be in life. For me, I have a few people who helped me find my way through life. Today, I’d like to talk about one of those people, one who helped me not fall into depression through my childhood with the terrifying events that I would go through at school.
