Comic Con International Hall H - Discrimination against Handicap people who walk

Being handicapped is difficult.  Some handicaps are obvious such as missing a limb, wheelchair bound, or using a service animal.  But there are less obvious handicaps: difficulty breathing, continuous pain, sudden onset pain and neurological problems to name a few.  Having a handicap makes life for that person just a little harder than for others.  And everyone with a handicap has their personal story to tell of why they are how they are, and what pain they manage in their lives.  This does not mean that handicap people do not deserve to live a normal life. It just means we need a little assistance.

Review: Free Comic Book Day 2013

The first Saturday in May is a yearly event that people can enjoy. As Comic Book stores receive Free Comic Books to pass out to anyone who shows up. In the Detroit area each Comic Book store does their own thing and the event takes place in the store. This is how I thought it was done everywhere, though this year there was two events I wanted to go to that was out of state. I was in for a shock with how one town runs their free comic book day like a Holiday.

1991 Coming Out of Their Shells Tour Chicago

It was 1991, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were going strong around the world, from the movies, toys, cartoons, and the live concert was still going around the country.  This was a smaller show that was edited down from the original “Coming Out of Their Shells Tour”.  They came to Michigan to do a show.  I was staying at my aunt’s during that time and was not able to convince anyone to take me to the show, since I saw the full show back in October.  I was crushed. I wanted to see it alive again so badly.  Disappointed that I missed the show, the only thing I got was a poster that was badly beaten left hanging in a store on their pinboard.
