Movie Review: Brave

Families are very important, though sometimes traditions can drive a family apart.  A lot of different movies have shown this, people pushing traditions on kids and instead of grasping onto this family lifestyle the kids see something else that they want in life.  Friction happens between family members and we get different types of movies where one family member is trying to get someone else in their family to see things their way.  Sometimes this lesson is learned by putting family members into each other shoes, though other movies take a totally different step.  The movie Brave by Disney and Pixar is one of those movies with a “Brother Bear” type twist.

Turtle Con 2003 - Fan Booth

When we did Turtle Con 2000, the original plan was to make money to keep doing the booth each year.  Though we did not make money.  In 2001 we held the booth again, but less people came and it still cost as much to hold.  So in 2002 we skipped out on doing a booth at the convention.  When 2003 rolled around we discussed the idea of doing a convention booth for the return of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  So we pulled the money together and did a weekend of friends that took a lot of work and was a lot of fun.

Intro to "The Shape of a Turtle"

Hey everyone, coming soon to Cowabunga Corner is a fanfic I wrote back when I was still in High School, 1996 through 1997. I mainly wrote this throughout the day at school and copying it onto the computer when I got home. What gave me the idea of doing this story was making a fanfic that would crossover with some characters that I created back in 1991, "The Shapers".

Review: "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Treasury"

Over the years many different books, webpages, interviews and stories have come out based on the origin of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  Everyone has their favorites, including myself.  In the early 1990’s, I use to pick up everything I could find of Ninja Turtles, to try and learn as much as I could about them.

Making of Cowabunga Corner Season 3

Cowabunga Corner Season 3 was a total blast to make!  I cannot thank everyone enough for all the time they put into it.  This season was the first time where we had almost as many interviews as we did reviews, which did really surprise me as that was not something I thought was going to ever happen.

Michele Ivey's "Cowabunga Corner" #63

Mark was Leonardo’s costume actor for TMNT 2 & 3. He was also in the news room in TMNT 2 when Donatello calls April at work, he’s the one to tell April she’s got a phone call from Donny.

Since working on the TMNT movies Mark has moved on to now work with selling Toys. Find out about his work with Bruder and just how great those toys are.

Mark Bode's TMNT Cartoon Concert

In episode 3 of "Ivey's Flashback", we have a panel, "Mark Bode's TMNT Cartoon Concert" that was held at Turtle Con 1992, the only official Turtle Con that's been held to date. My dad and I went to this panel, and my dad video taped. This panel was different than any other I've ever sat through. Held by Mark Bode and Steve Lavigne.
