Review Corner: Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows #1

One of my main goals these last two year was to read all of the Harry Potter books prior to seeing the beginning of the end for the movies. Sadly, I did not accomplish that goal. I only made it to the fourth book before my life became its normal chaos. I had a basic idea of what was going to happen in The Half Blood Prince, as my husband listened to the audio book at his computer without headphones. With The Deathly Hallows audio book, he used headphones. So, going into this first part of the movie, I was completely clueless as I have been with all of the previous movies aside from The Half Blood Prince.

Movie Review: Paranormal Activity 2

The first movie was quite a spectacular feat as it is considered the most profitable movie of all time. Why was it so popular? Because it played on our deepest fears of the unknown.

For the second movie, they not only play on our fears of the unknown, but also on our fear of bad things happening to innocent children. They want you to feel the fear for the family, as they don’t realize things are happening to the child.

Movie Review: Red

There’s just sometimes you need to shut your brain down and try to enjoy yourself with some action and comedy, and that’s exactly what you get here with Red. It’s loosely based off of a Warren Ellis graphic novel. I can’t tell you how loosely based, I can only go by what I have read online about the comparison as I have not read the graphic novel but I will soon. Though I’m sure there are some die hard graphic novel fans who are highly opposed to this flick. Yet, until I read the graphic novel, I really enjoyed myself with this movie.
