Mutation

Kodak Moment #64

I got hundreds to thousands of photos through my life.  A lot of which would match up to stories here on Cowabunga Corner, but for one reason or another they are not chosen.  This does not mean that these photos are not worth sharing and do not hold stories of their own.  I would like to keep sharing what I can here on the site, so whenever I can I will share a photo and a story to go along with the photo.  If it’s a part of events that has been shared here, we will link back to the stories of the events themselves as well.  Hope everyone enjoys.  Today’s photo is at Toronto Fan Expo 2005.

Review "The Lonely Mutation of Baxter Stockman" Nick TMNT #42

I know it’s been awhile since I’ve sat down and reviewed the Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series.  This has not been due to the lack of watching the show, but more the lack of time.  I have kept up every week with Nickelodeon’s TMNT.   One thing I want to do now, is take the time to catch up on the past episodes with some short reviews working my way up to the recent stuff.   Here is my review  of “The Lonely Mutation of Baxter Stockman” an episode from Season 2.

Review: TMNT 1 into 2 Mutations

Review: Nickelodeon TMNT Mutations

I remember back in 1992 reading an story in  a magazine about new toys that Playmates Toys was going to release.  This magazine made it sound like they were going to cost a lot and normal fans were not going to be able to get their hands on them.  Later that year those same toys were released to stores at affordable prices.  These were the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutations.  Now with each cartoon we’ve gotten TMNT mutations.  Here is my review of the Nickelodeon Mutations for Michelangelo, Donatello, Raphael and Leonardo.

Review: Mix & Match Shredder and Tiger Claw

Review: Nick TMNT #27 "The Mutation Situation"

What a season, so much Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles merch released this year that there was no way to have a review from every item that came out.  I hope that everyone enjoyed all of the reviews that we did share, with great toys.  With the Holiday Season done we are going to try and focus the site back on the Nickelodeon Cartoon and the IDW Comics, as well as keeping the toy reviews coming.  In February 2014 Toy Fair is coming up, which means that toys are still a high focus point for us here at Cowabunga Corner.

TMNT Review: Mutant Origin : Leonardo/Donatello

MutantOriginLeoDonsmGoing through Target I found a new Ninja Turtle book sitting on the shelf.  I know I often review things like cartoons, comics and toys though it has been a long time since I reviewed a book.  So I picked this up, on the cover it says “Two Books in One!” as it has Leonardo jumping forward with a sword.  This image is used in the TMNT 2013 Calendar that came out.  On the back side it had Donatello.

Review Nickelodeon TMNT "The Gauntlet"

Ever think a title for a tv show episode gave too much away with the episode itself?  Well in this case Nickelodeon must of felt that way, as the original released title for this episode was changed from “Enter Shredder” to “The Gauntlet”.  Enter Shredder, a title that would have everyone excited, though would also be a plot spoiler.  One could see why the title was chosen just from the thrill that comes along with it.  Here is my thoughts on this really amazing episode.

Cowabunga Corner #97: Next Mutation Scripts

Hey everyone,

Welcome to episode 19 of Cowabunga Corner Season 4.  In this episode I go over the scripts from Ninja Turtles : The Next Mutation.  Telling briefly how I came about getting these, and sharing some of the cut scenes and information from within the scripts.  These are great items in my collection which I treasure.

Random Collection 11

Throughout the years of being a Ninja Turtle fan, my collection has been growing.  Every year I get something new that joins the collection.  Growing since 1989, I have over 500 Ninja Turtle toys out of package and over 300 in package, as well as books, animation cels, original comic art, scripts and so much more.  To cover all of this on Cowabunga Corner is not something I really think I can do.  Though I get a lot of questions about my collection, so I figured I could do random stories weekly to share one item in my collection.
