Changes of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Close your eyes, take in a deep breath.. with that breath take in everything you know about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  Now release the breath letting that information go just for a little bit.  Remember that information will always be there, the old shows and comics are not erased.  They will remain in the public eyes for years to come.  Though now we get to see a new, and the best way to view something new is with fresh eyes and without comparison.  Nothing can and will replace your favorite media of Ninja Turtles, and the new is not looking to replace it.  The new is only opening doors for new fans, and giving us old fans something else to look into.

Review: SDCC TMNT Panel 2012

Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series is coming out on September 29th, 2012. With this information there was no way that San Diego Comic Con could pass up on having a totally awesome TMNT panel, bringing in the cast and creative team behind the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Cowabunga Corner crew, as well as many other TMNT fans, gathered for this event to try and be some of the first to see and hear the news about this new series.

Cowabunga Corner News: Rob Paulsen 2012

Hey everyone,

Review: Nickelodeon TMNT Theme

When I first heard of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the cartoon was already on the market. So right away I was introduced to a theme song for the TMNT. I loved the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme, and to this day it remains my favorite version of any Ninja Turtle theme song. Every song since then I had to get use to. The Next Mutation theme is my second favorite, even though it’s sort of rap, it was short and easy to learn. I never got into the remixed versions of the original theme song. The 4Kids themes were good, but still took awhile to learn and was nowhere near as catchy as the original theme. So what of the new Nickelodeon theme song? Have you heard it? If not check it out:

Review: Comic Con International 2012

Comic Con International is one of the largest conventions in the United States.  While it’s huge and filled with events, every year it gets bigger with a huge dealer rooms and many different types of panels.  Though this convention, if you ask me, is too huge.  So I only go there when I know there’s an event I can not miss, like any Ninja Turtle event.  For the fourth time, I’ve traveled out to San Diego California for the cattle herding event, as I knew Nickelodeon was going to do something for the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series coming this fall.

Cowabunga Corner #80 TMNT World Record Event!

Hey everyone,

Welcome to episode 2 of Cowabunga Corner Season 4.  In this episode I share footage from March 17th, 2012 at Nickelodeon Universe in Mall of America.  This is an amazing event where they got over 800 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle fans to show up for the grand opening of a new TMNT Thrill Ride!  The first Ninja Turtle Thrill Ride in history!  A group of us from Cowabunga Corner was able to make it to this event, and this is our coverage!

Review: Nickelodeon TMNT Toys!

On the evening of July 3rd, I got a message on Facebook from PangGo asking if I've seen the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Toys and how they're being found at Toys R Us.  This news was a bit of a shock for me, as we've been told we won't see them until August.  Though it was too late in the evening to run out to Toys R Us.   So on July 4th I went to Toys R Us.  At this time, I am on a road trip as we're making our way to San Diego for Comic Con International.  So the Toys R Us I went to is in Mesa, AZ.

Review: Fright Night 2012

One of the things I do often is go to conventions.  I find it very cool to meet the actors behind the tv shows and movies that I enjoy.  It's neat to hear their stories, and through conventions, I often find new things to check into.  So when I heard of Fright Night Film Fest in Louisville, KY with guests such as Corey Feldman and Sean Astin, I knew this could be a convention I was interested in attending.  I chose this convention to be the beginning of my cross country trip to San Diego for Comic Con International 2012.  Here is my review of Saturday, June 30th at Fight Night Film Fest!

Review: Nickelodeon TMNT Website

In 2009, the news of the sale of Ninja Turtles to Viacom also meant that ninjaturtles.com would no longer be ran by Mirage Studios.  The website soon had an image showing that the new site was to be launched in 2011, as we watched a lot of the areas disappear from the website that we all knew and loved.  Though some cool areas remained, like the history of the old TV series and movies.  We waited for the new site.  But 2011 came and went with no new changes.  Finally, June 2012 the website changes, but is this change for the better?

First TMNT Trailer from Nickelodeon!

We’ve been waiting to say this! A new TMNT Trailer is up! This is the second time Nickelodeon has released a video to the fans, but this time it is not a Mutation in Progress video, this is the real deal! A trailer for the new cartoon. Finally, a chance for everyone to hear the new Turtle voices! So before we get into the details... watch this new trailer.

Now that you’ve seen the trailer, here’s my review. This is a teaser trailer, only giving us samples of the Turtles voices, fast flashes of scenes, bits of animation, and no idea on where the story is going. We see the comedy side of the show in this clip as they use a lot of Michelangelo. So I’ll start with Michelangelo.
